I have been interacting with all sorts of people from different faiths and find that their beliefs about things don’t really diverge much from the beliefs of the main stream Christians. This is depressing.
I don’t claim to have all the answers on the tip of my tongue. But there are some things in the post cross new testament passages that shed much light on the way Christians are to live. There is light shed on The Way and the narrow path. It seems as if people are ignoring those teachings and doing what is right in their own eyes.
How can Christians ignore the bible and it’s teachings? I don’t understand. Isn’t eternal life the most important thing a person should be concerned with?
I ask questions to challenge people’s beliefs. A majority of Christians offer opinions as their response. And if I offer scripture that counters their obviously worldly opinion I am usually treated rudely.
I would like to appeal to people that if they consider themselves a follower of Christ, please read your bibles and pray. Seek God. Work out your salvation with trembling and fear (Php 2:12).
It is your eternal destination that you should be concerned with. Not what is coming up next on Oprah.
The wide path is not the right path.
