The Shocking Truth About Faith That Will Rock Your World

Faith Revelation: How to Walk on Water

Today I want to share a powerful revelation about faith that can help you overcome any storm in your life. In the video, I broke down the famous Bible story of Peter walking on water toward Jesus. This incredible account holds the keys to activating true, miracle-working faith.

You see, it's not enough to just know about Jesus intellectually. Knowing Bible stories is one thing, but truly knowing Jesus intimately is something altogether different. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23 that many will profess to know Him, but He will respond "I never knew you." Yikes! We can't just know about the Lord - we must cultivate a deep, personal relationship with Him.

That starts by recognizing and obeying His voice. Just like the sheep know the voice of their shepherd in John 10, we must be able to discern Jesus' voice above all others. When He speaks a word of instruction or promise to us, that's where real faith begins.

Peter understood this principle when Jesus called him to walk on the turbulent sea. He didn't just impulsively decide to show off. No, he waited for the specific word from Jesus: "Come." At that point, Peter's faith was released into action as he stepped out of the boat. Faith requires a word from God and an active response on our part. As James 2:17 states, "Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."

Of course, we all know Peter's faith wavered when he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the crashing waves. The Bible says Jesus rebuked him as having "little faith." Yet Jesus still reached out His hand and saved Peter from sinking! This reveals an awesome truth - even imperfect faith is still rewarded when we call out to Jesus. Romans 10:13 promises, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Jesus is calling you to step out in faith right now - maybe in your finances, relationships, career, or other storm you're facing. Don't let doubt and human reasoning hold you back. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. When He gives you a word and tells you to "Come," be bold and obedient like Peter. Even if your faith falters, cry out to Jesus - He will never let you drown.

It's time to get out of the boat of natural thinking and onto the supernatural waters with God. Listen for His voice, step out at His command, and experience the thrill of walking by faith and not by sight. Powerful things happen when we mix faith with action! I'm expectant for the miracles Jesus will do in your life as you apply this revelation. Let's go change the world!

In this video, I discuss the concept of faith by referring to the biblical story of Peter walking on water towards Jesus. I emphasize that it's not enough to just know about Jesus - we must truly know Him and obey His voice. I highlight the interplay between faith and action, stressing that faith without works is dead, and that we must actively step out in faith when instructed by God.

Video Show Notes:

1. I recount the story of Peter walking on water from Matthew 14:24-32.
2. I explain the difference between knowing Jesus versus merely knowing about Him, referencing Matthew 7:21-23.
3. I underscore the importance of knowing and obeying the voice of Jesus based on John 10.
4. I define faith as believing and acting upon the word of God.
5. I state that we need to have a specific word from God before stepping out in faith.
6. I reiterate that faith without works is dead, quoting James 2:17.
7. I discuss the need to actively possess and fulfill God's promises, using the example of Joshua's conquest of Canaan.
8. I remind that God's word accomplishes its purpose, citing Isaiah 55:11.
9. I highlight the role of faith in pleasing God, referencing Hebrews 11:6.
10. I encourage overcoming the doubts of the carnal mind.
11. I share that Jesus saves those who call upon Him, even when their faith wavers, based on Romans 10:13.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  1. I think you don't understand the meaning faith! Faith to believe in God without fear no matter what. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to obey the command of Nebuchadnezzar, they were thrown into burning fire, and because they have no fear and believed in God, they were delivered. That's what they called faith.

  2. "Faith is believing something that Jesus has told you"... No it's not. Faith is not exclusive to Jesus or God or any of your other fitional characters.
Definition of Faith: the confident belief or trust in a person, idea, or thing that is not based on proof.

  3. That was a nice video, however, I can't totally agree with his definition of faith. Faith is more than one specific thing. Faith is HEARING from God, and believing it and walking in it. For example, if the Lord told you to go apply for a school that you believe your G.P.A isnt high enough for, do you have FAITH in Him to go apply, knowing your G.P.A circumstance? Do you trust Him to believe what He says? Also, it's not always a word from Jesus. We walk by faith, not by sight. Some people never hear a word personally from God, but they still have faith in His existence.

  4. I was talking about Christian faith.

You can have faith in a chair, that it will support you when you sit down. That is faith as well, but not what i was talking about here.

The Bible clearly says Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2). The author of Hebrews was clearly talking to Christians.

At the time of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, God had Authored the commandment: "You shall have no other gods before ME" (Ex 20:3). They simply stood on the Word Authored. They had a scriptural mandate.

How can you believe God if you don't know what He said? For you to believe a person, they had to have made a statement.

  6. Just wanted to thank you. Was just talking about how my faith wavers at times and I find it hard to pray sometimes. And you said something that reminded me that I have to work on knowing Jesus. During the storms we face on this earth he is there to reach a hand and pull us through. I just have to have faith. :-)
