Do you believe Jesus is a myth?

So you believe Jesus is a myth?

Then Maybe you believe that the apostles were tortured and martyred for a lie?

Then Maybe you believe the Messianic prophecies are some astronomical coincidence?

Then Maybe you believe Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth Etter, John G. Lake,  and Gary Wood are all hoaxers?

Then Maybe you believe the pulpit splitting in two at Christian Tabernacle in October of 1996 was some mass hallucination tricking people into repentance?

One thing I have learned is that spiritual things are spiritually discerned.  The carnal mind cannot fathom the things of God.  It can't understand the things of God for God is a Spirit.  This is why we see all these intellectual gymnastics by unbelievers.  Without the spirit of Christ people do back flips to invent carnal solutions to what Christians find so obvious.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I pray that the reader bypasses the intellectual ascent that Jesus is Lord and comes to a personal relationship with the person Jesus.  I have leaned to my own understanding until in desperation i arrived at my foxhole and found Jesus there waiting for me.  He was waiting for me to finally get serious.

He is waiting for you to get serious as well....

Know Jesus - Don't be caught dead just knowing about Him.

Reignite Your Gifts: The Power of Fasting and Prayer

Fasting and Prayer: Rekindling Your Spiritual Gifts

I want to talk about something that's been incredible for me lately: fasting and prayer.

A few months ago, I heard a message that said fasting can reactivate your spiritual gifts. Now, I used to have a strong prophetic gift – I was getting tons of words of knowledge and wisdom. But lately, it felt a little dormant. So, I decided to try this fasting thing, and let me tell you, it's been amazing!

Fasting and Hearing from God

The Bible is full of examples of how fasting and prayer go hand in hand. In Acts 13, we see the Holy Spirit speaking to the leaders while they were fasting and praying. It's like when we remove distractions like food, we open ourselves up to hear from God more clearly.

Fasting and Increasing Faith

Fasting can also boost your faith. Remember the story in Matthew 17 where the disciples couldn't cast out a demon? Jesus told them it was because of their unbelief. Maybe fasting and prayer help increase our faith, making it easier to receive what God has for us.

Fasting and Deliverance

I've also experienced deliverance through fasting and prayer. It's an amazing feeling, like a weight being lifted off your shoulders. If you're struggling with anything, give fasting and prayer a try. Remember, Hebrews 11:6 tells us that God rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Fasting Breakthroughs

I even have a friend who was forgiven a huge debt after he fasted and prayed! There's real power in seeking God through fasting and prayer.

Let's Go Deeper

This is just a starting point. There's so much more to discover about fasting and prayer.  I encourage you to dig deeper, seek God, and see what breakthroughs He has in store for you!

What do you think?

Breaking the Ties to the Sinful Past

As I was taking my trash out,  I had another strong prompting to get those things out of our presence that tie us to our sinful pasts.

What comes to mind is the accursed thing.

Deu 7:25-26  The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God.  (26)  Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

Notice that the Israelites would become accursed like the thing they brought in to their house?  Take note that these were people under covenant.

God wants us to be free from our sinful pasts.

1Pe 1:13-16  Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;  (14)  as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance:  (15)  but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living;  (16)  because it is written, Ye shall be holy; for I am holy.

Rom 13:14  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

This means burning the ships behind that ties us to the  sinful past because our citizenship is now heaven ( Philippians 3:20 ).  There is no going back.  Part of repentance is burning those bridges to the sinful past and getting rid of those provisions of the flesh.

Take some time to pray and ask the Lord if there is something that you should get out of your house.

For some of you, the Lord has already been dealing with you in this area.  This may be a confirmation.

Blessings!
