Stepping Out in Faith: The Inspiring Story of Acie Burleson, Who Carries the Cross for Jesus

Acie Burleson literally Carries the Cross for Jesus!

As a Christian, I'm always inspired by stories of people who step out in faith to follow Jesus Christ. That's why I was so excited to interview Acie Burleson, a man who literally carries a cross around town to win people to Jesus.

I first met Acie at the Jesus Jam Texas event, where he was praising the Lord in the pouring rain. His passion for Christ was evident to everyone there. When I learned that he now walks around carrying a cross, I knew I had to hear his story.

Acie shared with me how about 8 years ago, soon after he was saved, God spoke to him and put it on his heart to be a "walking person." He felt called to walk and carry the cross, but he struggled with doubt and fear.

It wasn't until 7 years later that Acie finally fully surrendered to God's call. He started carrying the cross and living by faith, trusting God to provide for him, his wife, and their four children. And God has been faithful - supplying all their needs as Acie obeys Him.

As Acie carries the cross, he sees how it impacts people. Some cry, some get angry, and some are drawn to Jesus. One of the coolest testimonies he shared was about a young man who approached him at a GMC dealership. Acie had followed the Spirit's leading to go there and wait, not knowing why. The young man asked about the cross, and Acie was able to lead him to salvation right there on the spot. Praise God!

Acie's message is simple but profound: pray and be ready for Jesus' return. He's been sharing this message for 8 years, even when he wasn't carrying the cross.

Acie's story is a powerful example of what it looks like to step out in faith and follow Jesus, no matter the cost. May we all be inspired to surrender fully to Christ and obey His leading in our lives.

Let's keep Acie and his family in our prayers as he continues carrying the cross and sharing the Gospel. If you'd like to follow his journey and support him, I've included a link to his Facebook page.

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon. Let's be ready and boldly share His love with the world, just like Acie Burleson.

Overcoming the Snares of the Devil: A True Story of Supernatural Deliverance

Testimony of Deliverance from Demonic Oppression

I have an incredible testimony to share with you today that will build your faith in the supernatural power of Jesus Christ. I recently connected with Markeyus Franks online in the Knowing Jesus community, and when I heard his story of deliverance from demonic oppression, I knew I had to have him on the show.

Markeyus' oppression started after watching the movie Ghost Rider years ago. He began experiencing frightening thoughts, anxiety, and physical symptoms that sent him to the hospital. When he moved out on his own, the attacks intensified with demons pressing on him at night, tormenting him with negative thoughts.

Desperate for relief, Markeyus turned to a friend who connected him with an oracle to perform rituals and use potions. While this provided temporary relief, it opened the door to even worse spiritual bondage and control.

Everything changed when Marcius reached out to some Christians who began ministering to him and sharing scriptures. As he isolated himself from the unhealthy influences and immersed himself in the gospel, the strongholds started to break. Marcius learned to use his authority in Christ to command the demons to leave in Jesus' name - and they fled!

Since getting saved in 2010, Marcius has been completely delivered and has grown strong in his faith. He met his wife, recently had twins, and no longer lives in fear. His story is a powerful example of how we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11).

If you are battling spiritual oppression, be encouraged that freedom and victory are available in Christ! We don't have to live in bondage to fear or the enemy's attacks. As Markeyus learned, there is mighty power in the name of Jesus to break every chain.

Remember, "The Lord's servant must not strive, but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will." (2 Timothy 2:24-26)

From Rock and Roll to Jesus: Rick's Powerful Testimony of Redemption

How Jesus Transformed a Hard-Partying Rocker

I recently had the privilege of interviewing Rick, the lead guitar player at Christ the Rock Church, after witnessing his baptism and powerful testimony. As someone who also came out of a life of drugs and rock music to follow Jesus, Rick's story deeply resonated with me. I knew I had to share it with all of you.

Rick and I actually grew up in the same area of Texas, probably playing football against each other as kids. But our lives took very different paths. While I found Jesus, Rick pursued the rock and roll lifestyle of women, alcohol and drugs. He was a talented guitarist, playing in bands and guitar contests. But as he tried to live out the hard partying life glorified in the music, Rick sunk deeper into addiction, multiple arrests, and a growing emptiness inside.

"I started believing more and more of the satanic part of it, that I'm untouchable, I'm immortal," Rick recounted. His first marriage ended in divorce amidst the drinking and drugs. Relationships fell apart. He dabbled in the occult, Eastern religion, anything to find meaning. But he kept waking up with hangovers, disgusted with his life. "This is what I've become, this is what life's about?" he would ask himself.

Then Rick met a Christian woman who saw something different in him. She kept inviting him to her Pentecostal church, but Rick refused, thinking he was too far gone for God to ever forgive him. "I thought there was no redemption, no way Jesus could forgive me. I had mocked him to his face."

But finally, Rick relented and went to church, just to appease her. "As soon as I came in that church and looked around, I could tell something was different," he said. "When I heard the pastor bring the word, a light came on. I said, 'Finally, here's somebody that gets it.' I was changed that day."

Rick realized that no matter how far he had fallen, Jesus still loved him and would forgive him if he repented and surrendered his life. "It's like that prodigal son," he reflected. "I really saw myself as the lowest of the low. I may have walked around with a prideful attitude, but deep down I felt like a slug. You can't live apart from Christ and be truly happy."

That day, everything changed for Rick as he rededicated his life to the Lord. He got plugged into the church, joined the worship team playing guitar, and recently took the step of baptism. Rick knows it's a daily process of growth and dying to self, but he has found a new joy and purpose in Christ.

"I'm so happy to have a God that forgives," Rick declared. "I'm so happy to have a God that didn't spare even his only Son. Even while I was walking around with the dregs of the earth, thumbing my nose at the sky, he still loved me."

"I'm so grateful Jesus didn't give up on me when I gave up on him, because I would likely be dead," he said. "I just praise the Lord, because he died for my sin and he forgives. I can't say enough how much I love him."

Rick's testimony is proof that no one is ever too far gone for God's love and redemption through Jesus Christ. If you have never surrendered your life to Jesus, do it today. If you have walked away from faith, come back home to the Father's arms. He is waiting with open arms to forgive you and give you an abundant new life in him. Amen!
