Breaking Free from Generational Curses: Insights from Glynda Linkous

Glynda Linkous Interview - Loosed from Chains of Darkness

As a Christian author and believer in the supernatural power of Jesus, I'm always eager to explore topics that can help people deepen their faith and overcome spiritual obstacles. Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing my longtime friend, Glynda Linkous, about her new book "Loosed from Chains of Darkness: Destroying Curses Through the Power of the Cross." This conversation opened my eyes to the often-misunderstood topic of generational curses and how we can break free from them through faith in Jesus Christ.

Understanding Generational Curses

Many Christians are familiar with the concept of blessings, but fewer understand the reality of curses. Glynda explained that a curse is essentially the opposite of a blessing - a doorway of iniquity that allows demons to enter our lives through our ancestral bloodlines. These curses often stem from unrepented sins committed by our forefathers, creating a cycle of destruction that continues until someone gains the knowledge to break it.

While some may argue that we're no longer under curses because of Jesus' sacrifice, Glynda pointed out an important truth: just as we must appropriate Jesus' sacrifice for salvation, we must also take action to break curses in our lives. This revelation aligns with the biblical principle that faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

The Impact of Curses on Our Lives

During our conversation, Glynda shared several examples of how curses can manifest in our lives:

1. Abuse: A curse of abuse can draw abusive situations to a person repeatedly, even into old age.

2. Divorce and Division: This curse can lead to repeated broken relationships and estrangements within families.

3. Infirmity: Unexplained illnesses and chronic health issues can sometimes be traced back to curses.

4. Perversion: This curse can become more twisted with each generation if not addressed.

These examples highlight the importance of identifying and breaking curses in our lives. As Glynda put it, "When two plus two doesn't equal four, there's often a demonic influence at work."

Breaking the Chains: How to Overcome Generational Curses

Glynda emphasized that breaking curses involves more than just casting out demons. We must first identify and break the curse, which acts as a legal right for demonic influence, before addressing any demonic presence. This process reminds me of Jesus' teaching about binding the strong man before plundering his house (Mark 3:27).

Here are some key steps Glynda shared for breaking curses:

1. Seek God's revelation about any curses in your life.

2. Identify the root of the curse, often found in ancestral sins.

3. Repent for the sins that opened the door to the curse.

4. Break the curse through prayer and declaration of God's truth.

5. Cast out any associated demonic influences.

Testimonies of Freedom

Glynda shared several powerful testimonies of people who experienced breakthrough after breaking curses. One woman saw her marriage healed and her relationship with her mother restored after breaking the curse of divorce and division. Another mother witnessed a dramatic change in her young child's behavior after addressing generational curses.

These stories remind us that there is always hope in Christ. As it says in Galatians 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us."

Personal Reflections

As I listened to Glynda's insights, I was struck by how much this teaching aligns with my own experiences in ministry. I've seen countless situations where persistent problems seemed to defy logical explanations. Now, I have a new perspective to consider when helping people find freedom in Christ.

This conversation has reinforced my belief in the power of God's Word and the importance of applying biblical truths to every area of our lives. It's not enough to simply know about our freedom in Christ; we must actively appropriate it.

If you're struggling with persistent issues in your life that seem to resist change, I encourage you to prayerfully consider whether generational curses might be at play. Glynda's book, "Loosed from Chains of Darkness," offers valuable insights and practical steps for breaking free from these spiritual bondages.

Remember, our God is greater than any curse or demonic influence. As you seek His truth and apply His Word to your life, you can experience the freedom and abundance that Jesus died to give us.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic. Have you experienced freedom from generational curses? Share your story in the comments below, and let's encourage one another in our spiritual journeys.

Together, let's dig deeper and go higher in our relationship with Jesus!

From Homosexuality to Healing: A Powerful Testimony of God's Transforming Love

Jay Hudson Testimony for Jesus

As a Christian content creator, I'm always on the lookout for powerful testimonies that demonstrate God's transforming love and power. Recently, I had the privilege of interviewing Jay Hudson, a former homosexual who is now a Spirit-filled man of God. Jay's story is not only inspiring but also timely, given the current cultural conversations around sexuality and faith. In this blog post, I'll share some of the key highlights from our conversation and the lessons we can all learn from Jay's journey.

The Early Years: Trauma and Confusion

Jay's story begins in his childhood, where he experienced both divine encounters and traumatic events that would shape his life:

- At age 5, Jay had a visitation from an angel who told him he would be a preacher when he grew up.

- At age 6, Jay was molested by an adult male cousin, which he believes opened the door for a spirit of lust and sexual perversion to attach itself to him.

These conflicting experiences set the stage for years of confusion and struggle with his sexual identity. As Jay explained, "It affected the way I saw myself intimately with my body, my image of my body, my self-esteem... it affected the way that other people I felt saw me."

The Descent into Homosexuality

As Jay entered his teenage years and young adulthood, he found himself increasingly drawn into the homosexual lifestyle:

- He experienced what he calls the "locker room glance" - a sexual attraction to other males that confused and troubled him.

- At 18, Jay had his first homosexual experience, which left him feeling devastated and conflicted.

- He eventually embraced a flamboyant gay lifestyle, complete with female impersonation and drug use.

Jay shared, "I was indoctrinated into the gay lifestyle. You are made to believe that Christians are the enemy and that the word of God is contradictive to what we believe in our core system as homosexuals."

The Divine Intervention

God wasn't finished with Jay, however. Through a series of divine appointments and encounters, Jay found himself drawn back to the church:

- A bold Latina woman confronted Jay about his lifestyle and invited him to church.

- At the church, Jay encountered genuine love from Christians, which contradicted everything he had been taught in the gay community.

- The pastor and his wife shared the Gospel with Jay, emphasizing both God's love and the need for repentance.

Jay explained, "It's not enough for us to love on the homosexuals coming through the door. The love of Christ is powerful, but we can't feather stroke them. We need to bring in the sword of the spirit, which is the truth of God."

The Process of Deliverance and Transformation

Jay's journey out of homosexuality wasn't instantaneous, but rather a process of ongoing deliverance and transformation:

- He experienced what he calls "residuals" - lingering temptations and struggles that he had to overcome.

- Jay emphasized the importance of saturating oneself in God's Word and renewing the mind daily.

- He shared how his testimony became more powerful the more he shared it, citing Revelation 12:11: "They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony."

A Miraculous Love Story

One of the most amazing parts of Jay's testimony is how God brought healing and restoration to his life:

- Jay married the very woman who had confronted him about his homosexuality years earlier.

- Despite Jay being diagnosed as HIV positive, God miraculously protected his wife and allowed them to have a healthy child together.

- Today, Jay has been walking in divine health for over 20 years, a testament to God's faithfulness and power.

Lessons for the Church

Jay's story offers several important lessons for how the church can effectively minister to those struggling with same-sex attraction:

1. Combine love with truth: We must offer both unconditional love and the transforming truth of God's Word.

2. Recognize the spiritual battle: Homosexuality often has spiritual roots that require deliverance and spiritual warfare.

3. Be patient in the process: Transformation is often a journey, not an instant change.

4. Share powerful testimonies: Stories of God's transforming power can bring hope to those who are struggling.

Jay Hudson's testimony is a powerful reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God's love and transforming power. If you or someone you know is struggling with same-sex attraction or any other sexual sin, there is hope and healing available in Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to:

1. Pray for those in your life who may be struggling with their sexual identity.

2. Educate yourself on how to lovingly and biblically minister to the LGBTQ+ community.

3. Share Jay's testimony with others who might be encouraged by it.

4. Consider reaching out to Jay's ministry for resources or support if you're personally struggling in this area.

Remember, as Jay said, "God does miracles today." Let's believe for more testimonies of transformation and healing in our communities and churches.

Walking in Supernatural Provision: Lessons from Garry Nesbit

When Money Runs Out, Faith Kicks In: Garry Nesbit's Keys to Provision

As a believer and content creator, I've been receiving numerous messages from people struggling with provision in their ministries and personal lives. Many are working hard, trying to serve God, but feeling discouraged by the lack of financial breakthrough. In response to these concerns, I felt led to reach out to my friend Garry Nesbit, a man who has experienced remarkable supernatural provision in his life and ministry. In this blog post, I'll share the insights from our conversation and offer encouragement to those seeking God's provision in challenging times.

The Foundation of Supernatural Provision

Garry emphasized that the key to experiencing God's provision is rooting ourselves firmly in His Word. As he shared, "We just need to understand and know that as children of God, if we abide under the shadow of the Almighty, He still has the promise in God's word. God has promised us to take care of us in hard times, lean times, rich times - it doesn't make any difference. God's provision is still the same."

This reminder is crucial. In a world where economic uncertainty looms large, we must anchor ourselves in the unchanging promises of God. As believers, we're called to live by faith, not by sight. This means trusting in God's provision even when circumstances seem dire.

Practical Steps to Walking in Supernatural Provision

1. Know and Declare God's Word

Garry stressed the importance of knowing Scripture and declaring it over our lives. He shared, "We have to understand exactly what God's word says about us when it comes to finances and about money." He referenced Luke 6:38, which promises that when we give, it will be given back to us in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.

2. Be Sensitive to the Holy Spirit

One of the key takeaways from our conversation was the importance of being sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading. Garry shared how he follows the Spirit's prompts in his daily life, whether in his business or in evangelism. This sensitivity often leads to divine appointments and unexpected blessings.

3. Step Out in Faith

Garry shared a powerful story of how he approached a group of men drinking outside a bar, despite his flesh wanting to avoid the situation. By obeying the Spirit's prompting, he was able to share the gospel and pray for healing, seeing God move powerfully. This willingness to step out in faith, even when it's uncomfortable, often precedes supernatural provision.

4. Practice Generosity

A critical aspect of walking in supernatural provision is cultivating a generous heart. Garry emphasized the importance of tithing and giving, sharing how his own disobedience in this area once brought a curse upon his finances. When he repented and recommitted to tithing, he saw God move miraculously in his life.

5. Live in Holiness and Purity

Garry highlighted the connection between holy living and God's provision. He referenced the promise God gave to the Israelites: "If you put me first and if you worship me, I will bless your bread and your water and I'll take sickness away from the midst of you." While we're under a new covenant, the principle remains - our lifestyle matters to God.

Preparing for Challenging Times

As we discussed the current economic climate, Garry emphasized the importance of hiding God's Word in our hearts. He posed a challenging question: If Bibles were suddenly outlawed, how many scriptures could we recall from memory? This serves as a sobering reminder to internalize God's Word, ensuring we have a firm foundation when trials come.

Personal Reflections

Listening to Garry's experiences and insights reminded me of the importance of walking closely with God daily. It's not about chasing after material blessings, but about seeking first His kingdom and righteousness. When we do this, He promises to add all these things unto us (Matthew 6:33).

I've seen this principle at work in my own life and ministry. There have been times when provision came from the most unexpected sources, often when I was simply focused on being obedient to God's leading. These experiences have strengthened my faith and taught me to trust God even in lean times.

Biblical References and Teachings

Throughout our conversation, Garry referenced several key scriptures that underscore the principles of supernatural provision:

1. Luke 6:38 - The principle of giving and receiving

2. James 2:15-16 - The importance of practical faith

3. Galatians 6:2 - Bearing one another's burdens

4. Proverbs 10:22 - "The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it"

These scriptures remind us that God's economy often operates differently from the world's. As we align ourselves with His principles, we position ourselves to receive His supernatural provision.

As we navigate uncertain economic times, let's remember that our God is Jehovah Jireh - the Lord who provides. He hasn't changed, and His promises remain true. I encourage you to take the principles shared in this post and apply them to your life:

1. Immerse yourself in God's Word, memorizing scriptures about provision

2. Cultivate sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leading

3. Step out in faith, even when it's uncomfortable

4. Practice generosity, even in lean times

5. Pursue holiness and purity in your daily walk

Remember, supernatural provision isn't just about meeting our needs - it's about equipping us to be a blessing to others and to advance God's kingdom.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with supernatural provision. Have you seen God move in miraculous ways in your finances? Share your stories in the comments below, and let's encourage one another in faith.
