From the New Age to Jesus

When i was in the New Age, i noticed that most Christians glazed over and flat out ignored supernatural/spiritual bible passages. That is one of the main reasons i left Christianity. I had a lot of Supernatural experiences as a child. Christians didn't have the answers to my supernatural experiences but the new agers were all too eager to offer answers. Even though they were the wrong ones.

Lots of New Agers actually quote the bible to Christians and the Christians don't know how to respond. Such as Ecclesiastes 12:6,7 - New Agers biblical proof text for astral projection. or John 1:48 New Agers biblical proof text for remote viewing.

Christians that were seeking the spiritual aspect of Christianity but couldn't find it in their churches were flocking to false teachers such as Hindus like Paramahansa Yogananda. Paramahansa Yogananda could quote the bible better than most Christians. And he became very popular with his Hindu slant on the scriptures. People flocked to him because they were not getting sound biblical teaching on the spiritual aspect of Christianity.

My passion is for Christians to have a spiritual relationship with the biblical Jesus. Yet there are a lot of false apostles (2 Corinthians 11:13,14) and angels masquerading as ministers of light. Deceiving many people.

I could go on quite some time about the Spiritual Passages and Knowing Jesus, but i want to encourage you with this one passage.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Through all of my back sliding and my trek with all the new age religions like Scientology and so forth, I encountered God in 1995 and He made Himself real to me. I've been a new creation ever since then. He gave me a new heart and an earnest desire to seek Him even more!

That passage about the Sheep of Jesus knowing His voice? I realized that it was the same voice that my dad taught me to listen for while we were praying on the side of my bed as I was 4 and 5 years old. We prayed to the God of the bible in the Name of Jesus.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Dad has been gone for about 20 years now. I am very grateful that he taught me how to pray as a little boy.
