Conrad Talks about Christian Faith

Some interesting thoughts on Christian faith.

In this video i comment on some ingredients of faith.

1 Having a relationship with Jesus
2 Jesus Authoring a Word
3 Stepping out in Faith on the Word
4 Jesus finishes the action.

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  1. I think you don't understand the meaning faith! Faith to believe in God without fear no matter what. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to obey the command of Nebuchadnezzar, they were thrown into burning fire, and because they have no fear and believed in God, they were delivered. That's what they called faith.

  2. "Faith is believing something that Jesus has told you"... No it's not. Faith is not exclusive to Jesus or God or any of your other fitional characters.
Definition of Faith: the confident belief or trust in a person, idea, or thing that is not based on proof.

  3. That was a nice video, however, I can't totally agree with his definition of faith. Faith is more than one specific thing. Faith is HEARING from God, and believing it and walking in it. For example, if the Lord told you to go apply for a school that you believe your G.P.A isnt high enough for, do you have FAITH in Him to go apply, knowing your G.P.A circumstance? Do you trust Him to believe what He says? Also, it's not always a word from Jesus. We walk by faith, not by sight. Some people never hear a word personally from God, but they still have faith in His existence.

  4. I was talking about Christian faith.

You can have faith in a chair, that it will support you when you sit down. That is faith as well, but not what i was talking about here.

The Bible clearly says Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2). The author of Hebrews was clearly talking to Christians.

At the time of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, God had Authored the commandment: "You shall have no other gods before ME" (Ex 20:3). They simply stood on the Word Authored. They had a scriptural mandate.

How can you believe God if you don't know what He said? For you to believe a person, they had to have made a statement.

  6. Just wanted to thank you. Was just talking about how my faith wavers at times and I find it hard to pray sometimes. And you said something that reminded me that I have to work on knowing Jesus. During the storms we face on this earth he is there to reach a hand and pull us through. I just have to have faith. :-)

  7. Faith in life is about believing in what carries you forward for me to have faith in a STORY that tells of a world created some 5000 years ago i would have have to be naive or asleep! Our scientists have proved this was or is IMPOSSIBLE to me religion today isn't about faith it's propaganda to keep you sleepy sheeple hemmed in.
