The Presence of God and other stuff... update

Worship was awesome last night at church.

I knew it was going to be good.  I have had a few encounters the preceding week with God overwhelming me with His presence.  The kind where i am enraptured with His love and it makes my body vibrate.

I also had a huge sickness attack hit me about four hours before service.  My first thought was to call and cancel, and then i realized, this was just another attack from the enemy.  Ha!  i have been doing this long enough i should know how the devil operates by now.  So i took authority, prayed and confessed the word (1 Samuel 30:6).  I also had some Google+ peeps pray for me!

Thanks guys for your prayers!  I love you!  (see i blog about ya! that is love!)

Back to the presence of God that i had experienced this preceding week.

Often times i am so overwhelmed by His presence that i seem to lose gravity.  Literally, if my eyes where not opened i would not know which way is up.  I asked the Lord why gravity seemed to disappear and He said, "This world shall have no hold on you".  Wow!  That was pretty awesome.  The closer i walk with Jesus the less i desire this world.  It really doesn't have much to offer. I prefer the place where gold is used as pavement!  #ThingsThatRock

It is awesome when people enter in to worship and let the Lord enter into the congregation.  God shows up where He is celebrated and not just tolerated.  God is a spirit and those that worship Him MUST worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).  And a successful worship service is when you see the spirit move like the wind on the leaves of human  trees (John 3:8).  He moves, and as a worship leader you can see it. You can sense the spirit of God moving like a wave of healing, restoration, and an overwhelming sense of Love invades the arena.

I have also had some neat  testimonies via email recently.  You know i am always hammering home the fact that we need to KNOW JESUS personally and not just know ABOUT Him.  I drive home Acts chapter 9 how Saul was a top theologian that was killing Christians using scripture and then he meets Jesus and this top theologian says "Who art thou Lord?".  Some theologians today only know about the person Jesus when He wants to encounter them spiritually and have relationship with them.

I keep talking about this because sometimes people eventually get what i am saying.  Every now and then  i get emails and people tell me that they have had an encounter with the person Jesus.  Hey!  When that happens, I get totally excited.  The bible magically turns from a boring book of thees and thous and boring genealogies into a living breathing river of life!  The person Jesus then becomes your very purpose for being.  Meeting Jesus turns you into a freight train of faith.

I also want to thank you for your contributions.  It is your contributions that keep this blog going as well as BeTheFew.com.  And to be honest, your contributions keep me going.  Often i have gotten down to these contributions buying my very food.  I have been playing it that close.

If you haven't checked out BeTheFew.com yet, i encourage you to do so.  Here at Conrad Rocks, i blog about anything and everything pertaining to Jesus, Liberty and things that rock.  BeTheFew is different.  It is all about Jesus, all the time!

OK, well i have rambled on enough.

I just wanted to share with you a bit.  Much love.

Blessings,

Conrad

  1. Just last night I went on a prayer walk before dark and Lord gave me this verse. I want you to know you are one of the chosen few!

    Matthew 20:16
So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen."

  4. Great post Conrad! I too was at an Encountering with my church service on Sunday night, it was my first time I've experienced an Encounter and it felt Really Good!!! It's been a struggle the last several years in my relationship with Jesus, but now I feel fully on the right track with him being #1 in my life and not afraid to proclaim it either! Thanks again for sharing.
