Tapping into the Pipeline of Revelation: Knowing the Truth

The wind is whipping off the lake in Mississippi, and even though it is September (when I originally podcasted this in 2015), there is a distinct chill in the air that tells me autumn is clawing its way into the deep South. I am standing here, completely alone, in a little sanctuary I found where the only other living souls are the fish occasionally breaking the surface of the water with a silver flash. I love places like this. If there were people here, I probably wouldn’t be. I am here to storm heaven. I am here because I have been far too busy lately with "Martha stuff"—those endless personal tasks and logistical hurdles that demand our attention and try to choke out our spiritual life.

Have you ever felt like you were running on empty? You are doing all the "Christian things," you are checking the boxes, but the anointing feels distant, and your prayers feel like they are bouncing off a brass ceiling. This is the pain of living in the soul and the flesh rather than the spirit. We get so caught up in the rationale and the busywork of ministry or life that we lose the connection to the very source of our power. We know about God, but we aren't knowing Him in the way that brings true freedom.

Today, I want to talk to you about tapping into a pipeline. While I was deep in the spirit this past week, the Lord gave me a vision of a literal pipeline of revelation, a surging flow of Living Water that is always available. The problem isn't that the water has stopped flowing; the problem is that we haven't learned how to tap into the line and let it rip. If you are tired of "lip service" Christianity and want to move into a life where the truth actually makes you free, you need to understand how to move from your brain into your spirit.

As I was driving out to this lake today, my spirit was just getting "bammed" with revelation. I used to wear an MP3 recorder around my neck 24/7 because I never wanted to miss a drop of what the Spirit was saying. You have to keep that FM dial tuned to the right frequency. If you don't, the noise of the world will drown out the "Divine Hotline."

The Difference Between Knowing and Hearing

We often quote the verse, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32 KJV). But we miss the weight of that word "know." In the Greek, the word is ginosko. This isn't just an intellectual nod to a set of facts. This is the same word used in the Hebrew idiom for the most intimate of relationships—like when the Bible says a man "knew" his wife. It is an internalization. It is a relationship.

Look at the warning Jesus gives in Matthew 7:21-23. He tells a group of people who were doing "Christian things"—prophesying and casting out demons—to depart from Him. Why? He says, I never knew you (Matthew 7:23 KJV). They had the works, but they didn't have the ginosko. They hadn't internalized the truth. They were working from a place of iniquity rather than a place of intimacy.

I think about the Rich Young Ruler. He came to Jesus asking what he should do to inherit eternal life. He had his cards stacked; he was looking for justification for his works. He told Jesus he had kept the commandments from his youth. But Jesus, in His brilliant way of coming at things from "left field," pointed him toward the one thing he loved more than God. He told him to sell his possessions. The man went away sorrowful because he had many possessions.

Was that man free? No. He was in bondage to his stuff. He didn't know the truth, because if he had, the truth would have made him free from that covetousness. He was following the rules of the neighbors—the six commandments dealing with human relations—but he was failing at the greatest commandment: to love the Lord thy God with all thy heart.

The Seed and the Headache

A few days ago, a seed was sown into my spirit. I heard something on a podcast, and immediately, my spirit caught fire. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't stop writing. I was so excited because I knew I had caught a glimpse of something supernatural. But then, I started doing something dangerous. I started trying to "work it out" in my head.

I began to reason with it, to rationalize it, to try and fit this spiritual seed into a carnal framework. And do you know what happened? I got a headache. My physical brain started to hurt. That is a major clue that you have moved out of the spirit and into the flesh. The Spirit of God doesn't give you a headache; He gives you life and excitement.

Think about Abraham and Sarah. God gave them a spiritual word: "You are going to have a son." But then, God didn't speak for a long, long time. In that silence, the carnal mind starts to wander. Sarah started thinking, "Well, maybe God meant we should help Him out." They tried to manifest a spiritual promise through carnal means. They birthed an Ishmael, and they paid a heavy price for it.

When we take a spiritual revelation and try to build a tabernacle for it without getting further instructions from the Spirit, we are doing the exact same thing. We are trying to manifest the will of God through carnal logic. But the word of God is a discerner; as it says in Hebrews 4:12, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (Hebrews 4:12 KJV). It divides the soul—the realm of the mind and emotions—from the spirit.

Presence Evangelism and Corporate Anointing

I’ve been studying Acts 18 lately, and something really hit me about the way Paul operated. We see Paul in Corinth, and he is "reasoning" in the synagogue. He is using logic and alleging from the scriptures that Jesus is the Christ. And while he is doing that, it doesn't seem to have a massive impact. But look at what happens when Timothy and Silas arrive.

Suddenly, the text says Paul was "pressed in the spirit." There is a shift. There is something about the corporate anointing that changes the atmosphere. It reminded me of King Saul. When he was around the company of prophets, the "cup that runneth over" from them spilled onto him, and he began to prophesy. But as soon as he was disconnected from that spiritual environment, he stopped.

In Corinth, there was a man named Justus whose house was "joined hard to the synagogue." He worshipped God right there. I believe this is a form of "presence evangelism." When we worship, God inhabits the praises of His people. It isn't a rational argument that saves the ruler of the synagogue, Crispus; it is the presence of the Holy Spirit. Even the leader who came after him, Sosthenes, eventually gets saved. This isn't about working things out in the flesh; it is about the manifest presence of God changing lives.

Personal Reflections

I’ve had to learn the hard way that my brain is not the same thing as my mind. I talk about this a lot in my book OPEN YOUR EYES: MY SUPERNATURAL JOURNEY. People ask me, "Conrad, what’s the difference between your brain and your mind?" For me, the answer is found in the supernatural.

Look at the accounts in scripture. When Samuel was raised up to speak to Saul, he didn't have a physical brain anymore. His body was in the grave, yet he could have a coherent, intelligent conversation. Ezekiel was carried by his hair in the spirit. John the Revelator was in the spirit on the Lord’s day while his physical body was on the Isle of Patmos. Lazarus and the rich man in the afterlife were talking, reasoning, and remembering—all without physical brains.

Your brain is just a repository for memories, a physical interface for this world. But your mind—your true capacity to think and know—is eternal. If I let my physical brain take the lead, I end up with that headache I mentioned. I end up like Martha, busy in the kitchen, distracted and frustrated, while Mary is doing the "one thing needful" at the feet of Jesus.

Jesus told Martha that Mary had chosen the good part. Mary was developing a relationship. She was in the ginosko. Martha was focused on the works, the rules, and the service. I have been Martha more times than I care to admit. I get so caught up in the "daily podcast" or the "Martha stuff" of life that I forget to just sit and tap into the pipeline. But the Lord is looking for people who will stop trying to rationale their way into heaven and just start drinking from the flow.

Biblical References

The life of the spirit is evidenced by fruit, not just words. James challenges us on this very point: If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? (James 2:15-16 KJV). If we say we believe, but our fruit shows we are actually coveting our possessions more than loving our neighbor, then we don't truly know the truth.

Jesus said, Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (Matthew 7:16 KJV). Belief (pisto) and knowing (ginosko) must manifest in the physical world. If your house is on fire, you don't just say, "I believe my house is on fire" while sitting on the couch. You get out! The action—the fruit—proves the belief.

We must be led by the Spirit, as Paul was. He was technically doing the "right things" by trying to preach in Asia, but the Spirit forbade him. He had a scriptural mandate to preach the gospel to every creature, but he still needed the moment-by-month direction of the Holy Spirit. This is why we must stay connected to the pipeline. Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water, but you have to keep the channel open.

Key Takeaways

  • Knowing is Intimate: True spiritual knowledge (ginosko) is a relationship, not just an intellectual understanding of facts.
  • The Headache Test: If a spiritual revelation starts causing carnal stress or mental pain, you are likely trying to work it out in the flesh rather than the spirit.
  • Fruit is the Evidence: Your actions and fruit prove what you actually believe. Lip service doesn't equal faith.
  • Mind vs. Brain: Your true mind is eternal and functions independently of your physical brain. Focus on the eternal.
  • Presence Over Rationale: The presence of the Holy Spirit and corporate anointing often achieve more than the most logical of arguments.

Conclusion and Call to Action

God is looking for people who are hungry enough to find a place to pray and storm heaven for revelation. There is a pipeline of living water available right now. It is surging with the truth that has the power to break every chain of bondage in your life—whether that is bondage to "stuff," bondage to fear, or bondage to a religious spirit.

I encourage you to dig deeper and go higher. Stop settling for the surface-level noise of the world. If this message has touched you, I want to hear about it. Leave a comment or share this with someone who needs to hear it. Until we meet again, remember to tap into the pipeline and let the Living Water flow. You can find more teachings and subscribe to my updates at ConradRocks.net.

Action Items

  1. Find Your Sanctuary: Dedicate a specific place and time this week to be alone with God—a lake, a park, or a quiet room—where you can storm heaven without distraction.
  2. Practice Presence: Instead of just "studying" the Bible for information, spend fifteen minutes sitting quietly at the feet of Jesus, asking the Spirit to reveal the person behind the text.
  3. Check Your Fruit: Identify one area of your life where you say you believe one thing, but your actions show another. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you align your fruit with the truth.
  4. Listen for the Seed: Pay close attention to the "seeds" of revelation that come your way through podcasts, sermons, or scripture. If you get excited, write it down immediately and ask God for the next step before you try to rationalize it.

Audit Your Martha Stuff:

Look at your daily schedule and identify "Martha tasks" that can be delegated or delayed to make more room for "Mary moments" in the Spirit.
