I am excited because i get to share a positive vision. I received this vision tonight during corporate prayer. Vision: I saw two hands pounding furiously against black billowing clouds in the heavenly realm.  Then one hand turned to me and signified the peace sign. I had some accompanying scriptures with the vision. 1Co 9:26  I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The Lord reminded me of the history of the  peace sign as i looked up the accompanying scriptures. I often ponder  on the story of when Jesus was walking on the water in the storm found in Matthew 14.  The disciples of Christ were at first afraid and thought that hey had seen a ghost.   They soon recognized the Master's voice even in the storm (see John 10).  One dared to draw near to the Lord with faith (James 4:8).  He asked Jesus to command him to come.  Knowing that if Jesus commands it, then he will be safe (Heb 5:9).  Knowing that if Jesus authors the word then he can stand on it and not sink.   Peter asks the Lord to command him to come out onto the water.  The Lord obliges.  As Peter was drawing near to Jesus, he got distracted by his surroundings.  He took his eyes off of Jesus and looked at the wind.  We are to keep our eyes upon Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2).  Once we become distracted and look away we begin to sink into our own reality,  we begin to revert back to our old way...

Even now, I look at the storm in the natural and let my flesh freak out.  I really shouldn't because God has delivered me time and time again from certain calamity. God uses miracles to show that He is God and He does in fact save His people!  If it wasn’t a miracle, then you weren’t really in a bad storm, and you might attribute your recovery to chance.   A lot of Christians are going through a rough patch in their lives right now.  Words of encouragement seem hollow. It is because, they are not going through the fire with you, but are looking at your vicious war from a safe vantage point up on their hill that God has provided for them.   It is almost as if they have binoculars and are eating popcorn watching the whole situation unfold from afar while your guts are spilling onto the ground. Feeling Abandoned by God: A Temporary Setback As a Christian, there have been times when I've allowed circumstances to cloud my perspective, leading me to feel as though God had abandoned me.
