Growing in Christ: Nurturing the Seed of Salvation - Heart Solutions Part 3 #CWC

Image
Overcoming Iniquity Through Spiritual Progression "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." (1 Peter 1:23) When we invite Jesus Christ into our hearts, a miraculous transformation begins. We are born again, not of corruptible seed, but of the incorruptible seed of God's Word. This is just the beginning of our spiritual journey, as we learn to nurture this seed and grow in our relationship with Christ. As newborn babes in Christ, we must desire the pure milk of the Word, that we may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2). We feed on God's Word, hiding it in our hearts that we might not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11). As we meditate on the Word day and night, we become like trees planted by rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in due season (Psalm 1:2-3). But growth is not always easy. We face opposition from the world, the flesh, and the devil. Our old sinful habits and thought patterns (iniquities) m...

A New Heart Through the Power of Christ - Heart Solutions Part 2 #CWC

Image
Overcoming Iniquity Through Christ's Power "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26) God promises to give us a new heart when we come to Him in faith. This is the essence of being born again - going from a heart of stone that is dead in sin to a heart of flesh that is alive to God. Jesus told Nicodemus, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3) But this new birth is just the beginning. We must then nurture the seed of salvation and allow it to grow. Just as a newborn baby can see but cannot yet walk, a new believer starts by seeing the kingdom but must then mature. "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:" (1 Peter 2:2) This growth process involves overcoming the iniquities and sinful habits that once hel...

From a Wicked Heart to a Pure Heart Through Jesus

Image
From Wicked to Pure Heart "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9 KJV)  This verse reveals the state of the human heart after the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Our hearts have a natural propensity towards evil and wickedness. As it says in Genesis 6:5, "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." But praise God, there is hope for transformation! The Bible shows us how we can go from having a wicked, deceitful heart to having a pure heart that allows us to enter God's presence. Psalm 24:3-4 says, "Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully." The key to this transformation is inviting Jesus Christ into our hearts. As Revelation 3:20 s...

From Darkness to Light: Mary Priddy's Powerful Testimony of Transformation Through Jesus

Image
Jesus: The Love Mary Needed Introduction: I recently had the privilege of interviewing Mary Priddy, who I connected with through the Knowing Jesus community on social media. Mary's story is one of the transforming power of Jesus Christ in a life that was once lost in darkness. I'm excited to share her powerful testimony with you. Raised in the Church, but Falling into Darkness Mary was raised going to church by her grandparents and was baptized at a young age. But when she was 12, her world fell apart when her preacher grandfather passed away. She ended up in state custody and started down a path of drinking, drugs and unhealthy relationships. By 18, she was pulled into a dark world of hard drugs, prostitution, and abuse by an older man.  Hitting Rock Bottom Mary spiraled further into drug addiction, especially meth. She worked as an escort and prostitute to support her habit. Suicide attempts landed her in the ICU. Mary felt helpless and hopeless, seeing no way out of the dark...

From Religion to Relationship: The Transformative Testimony of Curtis Petrey

Image
Curtis Petrey's Transformation Greetings, dear readers! Today, I am thrilled to share a powerful testimony that beautifully illustrates the journey from religious activity to a profound relationship with Jesus Christ. This story is particularly special as it comes from Curtis Petrey, a man whose life was dramatically transformed by an encounter with the living God. A Life Steeped in Religious Duty Curtis Petrey was a man deeply entrenched in the church. Raised in a Methodist household, he was actively involved in church activities from a young age. Curtis humorously recalls, "I had a drug problem. I was drugged to church every Sunday." His commitment to the church extended into his adulthood, where he held numerous leadership positions, including the director of evangelism for his local Methodist Church in Mississippi. Despite his extensive involvement, something was missing. Curtis had all the outward trappings of a devout Christian but lacked a personal, transformative ...

Remembering Karen Jackson & Spiritual Christianity #CWC

Image
Celebrating the Life of Karen Jackson: A Beacon of Spiritual Christianity Today, I want to share something deeply personal and impactful with you. This will be my last blog talk radio show due to the high costs associated with it, but don't worry, we're exploring other avenues to keep our spiritual discussions alive and accessible. Firstly, I want to talk about Karen Jackson from our Fellowship Christian Church who recently passed away. Karen and her husband Howard have been monumental influences in my spiritual journey, and their dedication to the ministry has left an indelible mark on many lives, including mine. The Prophetic Encounter Back in 2000-2001, I was attending the Christian Tabernacle Church, renowned for the miraculous event in October 1996 when the pulpit split in half. During this time, I had a prophetic dream about meeting two people, which I later realized were Howard and Karen Jackson. This encounter was predestined, as highlighted by the Holy Spirit showing m...
