I woke up this morning and while I was still in la-la land I had some bad memories from my past dance in my mind's vision. Once my conscious mind realized this was happening I quickly took the thought captive. Thoughts can be inspired by God and His team, Satan’s team, the world, our flesh, and ourselves. We are to hear the voice of God and obey (Hebrews 12:25). We are to ignore the enemy (John 10:5) and the world, and our fleshly lusts (Romans 8:13). When our thoughts get off track we are to meditate on the good things. The battle takes place in the mind: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) (5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; We are to focus our thought life upon good things.
