Heavy Metal Deliverance

Image
The bible talks about burning cursed objects (Deut 7:5,25,26; Ex 32:20; 1 Chron 14:12) . The Christians burned their curious arts in Acts chapter 19 for example (Acts 19:19). I was under demonic oppression for years. I finally burned my heavy metal CDs as an act of faith. I experienced major deliverance during the burning of those CDs. I saw fowl like or bat-like demons swirl out of the fire and leave while my head was spinning so much I thought I was going to fall down. It felt like I lost 50 pounds in the spirit. I could think much clearer. I was FREE! Those thoughts that used to plague me had stopped. I never returned to that vomit (2 Peter 2:22)! Heavy metal is a tool of the devil. It's there to steal the word of God that was sown in people's hearts (Mark 4:15; Matt 13:4,19). Once you burn your heavy metal collection, you will find out what I am talking about. You don't believe me? I didn't believe it either. I stepped out in faith. I was ...

Theology I Learned from My Cat

Image
As I was seeking the Lord this morning, Boaz came up to my tablet and watched with curiosity as I spoke notes into the tablet. That must have seemed miraculous to him. I wonder how much he understood of what was actually going on. I began to wonder if Boaz would ever understand what I wrote by speaking it into being. Maybe he knows words like ‘no’, ‘good boy’, and ‘Boaz’, but I am pretty sure, he doesn't get but maybe 1% of what I spoke into the tablet. Then I thought about how God wrote on the tablet for Moses in a language that hopefully, we could understand.  It took mankind over 6000 years to discover that there was such a thing as DNA. A finite mind trying to comprehend an infinite God. Boaz was curious and he wanted to be near me. I think we can learn a lot of theology from that. Are we curious about God? Do we long to be near God?

Seeking God First: Shifting Your Spiritual Mindset for True Revelation

Image
I am sitting here with my mug in hand, watching the steam curl up into the morning air, and I’ve been thinking about you. My passion, as you know, is for you to have a deep, vibrant, and supernatural relationship with the biblical Jesus. But lately, I’ve been hearing from so many of you who feel like your prayer life has hit a brick wall. You’re sitting there in the quiet of the morning, maybe with your own cup of coffee, and you feel a disconnect. You’re saying the words, you’re going through the motions, but the heavens feel like brass. The pain point for many of us is that we are religious, but we aren't necessarily spiritual. We’ve been taught to pray, but we haven't been taught how to seek . We come to the Father with a laundry list of our own needs, our own worries, and our own agendas, and we wonder why we don't feel that "rocks of revelation" flow that I’m always talking about on ConradRocks.net . It’s frustrating, isn't it? To feel like you’re doing ...

Confession and Repentance - The Lord's Model

Image
A lot of us want to begin praying with confession and repentance as a priority - probably thinking about 1 John 1:8-10. However, if we look at the model of the Lord's prayer ("After this manner, therefore, pray ye") 'forgive us our debts' is further down the list of prayer points. Notice that we are not to pray for ourselves selfishly but we are to pray for 'us' when it comes to confession and repentance. Also, notice that the Lord ties this in with how we forgive others. Notice that the beginning of the prayer focuses more on the Lord's will before our own. Food for thought Matthew 6:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the...

Seek God First

Image
It is important to seek the Lord first in the morning and let Him establish our thoughts (Proverbs 16:3). This is one way I think about Matthew 6:33. We are putting the Lord first chronologically. In doing so, we learn about what is tugging on the reins of our hearts. Think about this, whatever we focus on first in the morning is what our heart thinks is a priority. Jesus searches and tries the reins of our hearts (Jeremiah 17:10, Rev 2:23). What we gravitate to first show us what is tugging at our heartstrings. We can learn a lot from Solomon. He put the Lord first. He didn't ask for wealth or power. He asked for wisdom to judge God's people. God was so pleased that He gave him wealth and honor in addition to wisdom. Solomon was seeking first the Kingdom of Heaven and the LORD’s ways of doing things right. We should do the same. Relevant passages. Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Matthew 6:33 But seek...
