Stop Playing Games With Baby Faith - It's Time to Move Mountains

Image
Unlocking Mountain-Moving Faith We serve a big God who wants to do big things through His people. But too often, we get stuck playing small because we let doubt and unbelief creep in. In my recent podcast " Speaking to Your Mountain, " we dug into Mark 11 where Jesus tells His disciples to have faith in God and speak to their mountains. This isn't some name-it-and-claim-it nonsense either. Jesus is calling us to an authentic life of kingdom dominion and authority. See, the world tries to manifest things through mental gymnastics and "laws of attraction." But we don't have to pour from an empty cup. We have the living God inside of us! When we nurture our relationship with the Lord and stay planted in His Word, mountain-moving faith becomes second nature. But there's a catch - Jesus makes it crystal clear that unforgiveness will cut the power line. We can't expect to walk in supernatural authority while harboring offense, anger or resentment in our he...

Discerning True Prophecy: Lessons from Biblical Examples and Failed Predictions

Image
A Biblical Approach to Prophetic Discernment As Christians with a deep interest in the prophetic realm, it can be all too easy to get swept up in the hype and speculation that often surrounds major celestial events or geopolitical shifts. From failed rapture predictions to sensational claims about the "Shemitah" cycle, the modern Church has far too often traded genuine spiritual insight for emotionally-charged narratives that appeal to our desire to know the future. Conrad tackles this critical issue head-on, drawing a clear distinction between the characteristics of true biblical prophecy and the logical fallacies underlying so many contemporary prophetic claims. By examining examples like Gideon, Jeremiah, and Samuel, he provides a robust framework for developing the spiritual discernment needed to navigate this complex landscape. One of the key lessons Conrad emphasizes is the importance of avoiding the trap of "prophecy by hindsight." Far too often, self-proclai...

Prophetic Collision: A Wake-Up Call for America and the Church

Image
Prophetic Warning to America In a shocking incident on March 26th, 2024, the cargo ship "Dali" lost propulsion and crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in a catastrophic collision. But this event was more than just a maritime accident - it carried profound prophetic implications that the American church cannot ignore.  The Controversial UN Abstention Just hours prior, the United States took the unprecedented step of abstaining from a United Nations vote calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. This marked the first time in history that America refused to stand with its longtime ally Israel, appearing to "turn its back" on the nation. The Prophetic Artist: Dali Astonishingly, the name of the ship itself seems linked to famous surrealist painter Salvador Dali, whose works provide eerie foreshadowing of America's spiritual state: Dali's 1959 work "The Discovery of America" depicts Columbus's arrival, but with clear Christian imagery ...

From Spinning Plates to Sowing Seeds - Be fruitful for the Kingdom not just busy

Image
Living a Life of Kingdom Purpose  Do you ever feel like you're just spinning plates?  Rushing from one task to another, putting out fires, yet not moving closer to your kingdom calling? As followers of Christ, we're commissioned to bear fruit and make disciples. Yet it's so easy to get caught up in busyness rather than purposeful building of God's kingdom.  In the podcast "From Spinning Plates to Sowing Seeds," Conrad challenges us to shift from a mentality of checking tasks off a list to one focused on leaving a legacy. What if we evaluated our activities not based on urgency but rather their capacity to nurture our faith and serve others?   Jesus' parable of the sower illustrates that seeds landing on good soil multiply exponentially. As Conrad explains, "We need to find receptive hearts to sow the seed of the gospel into." This begins with building relationships, creating safe spaces for spiritual conversations to unfold. Rather than a transa...

While praying intellectually has ...

Speaking to Your Mountain - Bold Declarations of Faith!

Image
Speaking to your Mountain In Mark 11:21-26, we find an often-misinterpreted and misapplied passage about the power of our words and the faith to back them up. Specifically, Jesus tells his disciples that if they speak to a mountain, telling it to be lifted up and thrown in the sea, it will happen for them. The "Name It and Claim It" Crowd Of course, this verse gets pulled out of context by the "Name It and Claim It" prosperity gospel folks. They focus only on the part about speaking to mountains, forgetting the sandwich bread - which is having faith in God first and operating in forgiveness second. They want to "name and claim" cars, houses, and bling without any thought of delighting in and having faith in God. Missing the "Have Faith in God" Part Jesus begins this teaching by pointing back to the fig tree that he had cursed, which then withered. He tells them in verse 22 to "Have faith in God." Our faith and expectations must be gro...
