From Witchcraft to Worship: Alexandria Butler's Radical Transformation

Image
The Transformative Power of the Holy Spirit Today on Coffee with Conrad, I had the incredible privilege of interviewing Alexandria Butler, a woman with a powerful testimony of God's redemptive love and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. Alexandria's story is one that will inspire and encourage you, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey. Growing up surrounded by the darkness of witchcraft and bitterness, Alexandria seemed destined for a life of pain and negativity. But God had other plans. Through a divine encounter on Interstate 35, Jesus met Alexandria in her brokenness and radically changed the trajectory of her life.  Here is the Audio Podcast Version of our interview: As Alexandria shared her story with me, I was struck by the parallels in our own testimonies. Like Alexandria, I too struggled with demonic torment as a child. But also like her, I had grandparents and relatives who sowed seeds of faith into my life from a young age. Those seeds, planted ...

From Brokenness to Impact: Richard's Story

A Powerful Testimony of God's Transforming Love: Richard James Dixon Jr.'s Story Recently on the "Coffee with Conrad" podcast, I had the privilege of interviewing Richard James Dixon Jr. from Real Talk Interactive about his powerful testimony of how Jesus Christ transformed his life. This inspiring story is a must-listen for any Christian who loves to hear about the supernatural power of God at work.   Richard grew up in a godly family with six siblings. His parents raised them in holiness, but Richard admits he was a mischievous child who acted out and put his parents through a lot. Even at a young age though, he felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit whenever he misbehaved.  One pivotal moment came when God allowed Richard to see how exhausted his mother was with his behavior. It broke his heart and he realized he needed to change. Around this time, Richard also experienced sexual abuse from someone outside the family. This left deep scars that affected him mental...

The Eccentricity of Prophecy: Embracing the "Cooky Prophetic"

Image
Being 'Cooky' Prophetic is Odd!  Being "cooky prophetic" is a term that may seem odd to many, but it holds a profound meaning. It refers to the eccentric, unconventional, and often bewildering behavior exhibited by prophets. This behavior, while seemingly bizarre, often carries a divine message or prophecy.  Biblical Examples of "Cooky Prophetic" Behavior The Bible is replete with instances of prophets behaving in ways that would be considered "cooky" by modern standards. Yet, these actions were often divinely inspired and served a greater purpose. Isaiah's Nakedness Take Isaiah, for instance. In Isaiah 20:2-3 (KJV), it is written, "At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egyp...

Radical Discipleship: Jesus vs. Modern Christianity

Image
Radical Discipleship: Rediscovering the Transformative Power of Following Jesus What did Jesus Really mean when He said "Make Disciples"? As I delved into researching the stark differences between first-century discipleship and our modern practices, I was struck by how far we've drifted from Jesus' original intent. In this podcast, I explore what it truly meant to be a disciple in Jesus' time and how we can recapture that radical, life-altering commitment today. In first-century Israel, being a disciple of a rabbi was a high calling that required complete dedication. Disciples would leave everything behind—family, possessions, and their former way of life—to follow their rabbi closely, learning to imitate him in every way. The goal was not merely to acquire knowledge but to become a living embodiment of the rabbi's teachings and character. Contrast this with today's discipleship, which often emphasizes comfort, personal fulfillment, and classroom-style lea...

Stop Playing Games With Baby Faith - It's Time to Move Mountains

Image
Unlocking Mountain-Moving Faith We serve a big God who wants to do big things through His people. But too often, we get stuck playing small because we let doubt and unbelief creep in. In my recent podcast " Speaking to Your Mountain, " we dug into Mark 11 where Jesus tells His disciples to have faith in God and speak to their mountains. This isn't some name-it-and-claim-it nonsense either. Jesus is calling us to an authentic life of kingdom dominion and authority. See, the world tries to manifest things through mental gymnastics and "laws of attraction." But we don't have to pour from an empty cup. We have the living God inside of us! When we nurture our relationship with the Lord and stay planted in His Word, mountain-moving faith becomes second nature. But there's a catch - Jesus makes it crystal clear that unforgiveness will cut the power line. We can't expect to walk in supernatural authority while harboring offense, anger or resentment in our he...

Discerning True Prophecy: Lessons from Biblical Examples and Failed Predictions

Image
A Biblical Approach to Prophetic Discernment As Christians with a deep interest in the prophetic realm, it can be all too easy to get swept up in the hype and speculation that often surrounds major celestial events or geopolitical shifts. From failed rapture predictions to sensational claims about the "Shemitah" cycle, the modern Church has far too often traded genuine spiritual insight for emotionally-charged narratives that appeal to our desire to know the future. Conrad tackles this critical issue head-on, drawing a clear distinction between the characteristics of true biblical prophecy and the logical fallacies underlying so many contemporary prophetic claims. By examining examples like Gideon, Jeremiah, and Samuel, he provides a robust framework for developing the spiritual discernment needed to navigate this complex landscape. One of the key lessons Conrad emphasizes is the importance of avoiding the trap of "prophecy by hindsight." Far too often, self-proclai...

Prophetic Collision: A Wake-Up Call for America and the Church

Image
Prophetic Warning to America In a shocking incident on March 26th, 2024, the cargo ship "Dali" lost propulsion and crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in a catastrophic collision. But this event was more than just a maritime accident - it carried profound prophetic implications that the American church cannot ignore.  The Controversial UN Abstention Just hours prior, the United States took the unprecedented step of abstaining from a United Nations vote calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. This marked the first time in history that America refused to stand with its longtime ally Israel, appearing to "turn its back" on the nation. The Prophetic Artist: Dali Astonishingly, the name of the ship itself seems linked to famous surrealist painter Salvador Dali, whose works provide eerie foreshadowing of America's spiritual state: Dali's 1959 work "The Discovery of America" depicts Columbus's arrival, but with clear Christian imagery ...
