Walking After the Spirit: An Interview with Garry Nesbit

From Windshields to Wonders: How Gary Nesbit Follows the Holy Spirit in Daily Life

As a fellow believer passionate about supernatural encounters with God, I'm always on the lookout for inspiring stories of faith in action. Recently, I had the privilege of interviewing Garry Nesbit, a man whose daily life is a testament to what it means to truly walk after the Spirit. In this blog post, I'll share Garry's incredible journey and the lessons we can all learn from his bold faith.

From Church Pews to Highway Hedges: Garry's Spiritual Journey

Garry's story begins like many of ours - born and raised in the church, familiar with the teachings of salvation, divine healing, and the fullness of the Spirit. However, as he candidly shared, his faith was initially confined within the four walls of the church building.

"I can remember growing up, we would have witnessing programs," Garry recalled. "But whenever they started talking about that, fear would come upon me. I didn't want to do it."

This fear of stepping out in faith is something many of us can relate to. But God had bigger plans for Garry.

The Turning Point: A College Revival

Garry's perspective changed dramatically during his college years at the University of Central Arkansas. He witnessed a powerful revival among the most unlikely candidates - drug dealers and sinners on campus.

"People started getting saved left and right," Garry explained. "It was just a great revival. And here I am, a church-going guy, seeing all this, and I thought to myself, 'Well, they don't have anything over on me. I know all about this.' But I realized that I wasn't all what I thought I was."

This eye-opening experience introduced Garry to one-on-one ministry outside the church walls, setting the stage for his future calling.

From Religious Rut to Spirit-Led Ministry

After attending Bible college and serving in various church roles, Garry found himself back in what he calls a "religious rut." However, God wasn't finished with him yet. In a beautiful full-circle moment, Garry rediscovered the passion and power he had experienced during that college revival.

Today, Garry operates a mobile windshield repair business, which he sees as more than just a job - it's his ministry field. Every day, he asks the Lord to open doors for ministry, and without fail, God answers.

A Day in the Life of a Spirit-Led Believer

One of the most inspiring aspects of my conversation with Garry was hearing about his daily encounters. He shared a particularly powerful story that occurred in Lula, Mississippi:

"I went into a convenience store to get a Coke and a snack," Garry recounted. "As I was walking out the door, I was inspired by the Spirit of God to ask them if they knew Jesus."

This led to a conversation about divine healing, and Garry ended up praying for the women in the store, anointing them with oil as instructed in James 5:14. What happened next was nothing short of miraculous.

"All of a sudden, out of the left corner of my eye, I could see Fanny May stand up," Garry said. "She starts stomping her right foot on the floor, then her left foot. She looked like a majorette marching in a band!"

Fanny May, who had been quiet and seemingly uninterested, suddenly exclaimed, "It's gone! The pain is gone!" God had instantaneously healed her body, demonstrating His power and love in that small Delta town.

Overcoming Fear and Embracing Boldness

Garry's testimony is a powerful reminder of the importance of stepping out in faith, even when we feel afraid. He shared about a time when he felt led to witness to a group of men having a barbecue in a rough neighborhood:

"I knew in my heart before I left that neighborhood, I was going to go down there and talk to them," Garry said. "While I'm finishing my work, the devil was trying to get me to be afraid. I said, 'No, in Jesus' name, I'm going to witness for the Lord.'"

This boldness to share the Gospel in unlikely places is a direct result of Garry's reliance on the Holy Spirit. As he reminded me, "You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses unto me."

The Ministry of Availability

One of the most impactful lessons I learned from Garry is the power of making ourselves available to God. He shared his daily prayer: "Lord, I'm available today. Glorify yourself through me."

This simple act of surrender has led to countless divine appointments and opportunities to share God's love with others. As Garry put it, "We are His vessel, we're His mouthpiece, we're His hands."

A Call to Action: Step Out in Faith

As I reflected on my conversation with Garry, I felt challenged and inspired to step out in faith in my own life. If you're reading this and feeling the same stirring in your spirit, here are some practical steps we can take:

1. Pray for boldness: Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit and give you the courage to share your faith.

2. Be available: Make yourself available to God each day, asking Him to use you.

3. Listen to the Spirit's promptings: Pay attention to those gentle nudges to pray for someone or share a word of encouragement.

4. Take small steps of faith: Start by offering to pray for a coworker or sharing your testimony with a friend.

5. Expect miracles: When you step out in faith, expect God to move in supernatural ways.

Conclusion

My interview with Garry Nesbit was a powerful reminder of what it truly means to walk after the Spirit. His stories of everyday encounters with the supernatural have reignited my passion for seeing God move in mighty ways.

As Garry prayed during our interview, "Father, we thank you for sending us to hungry people, those that are wanting to get help. We ask you, Father, in Jesus' name, for divine appointments with everybody that's hearing this program right now."

I echo that prayer for each of you reading this blog post. May we all be inspired to step out in bold faith, making ourselves available to be used by God in our everyday lives.

Walking in Supernatural Provision: Lessons from Garry Nesbit

When Money Runs Out, Faith Kicks In: Garry Nesbit's Keys to Provision

As a believer and content creator, I've been receiving numerous messages from people struggling with provision in their ministries and personal lives. Many are working hard, trying to serve God, but feeling discouraged by the lack of financial breakthrough. In response to these concerns, I felt led to reach out to my friend Garry Nesbit, a man who has experienced remarkable supernatural provision in his life and ministry. In this blog post, I'll share the insights from our conversation and offer encouragement to those seeking God's provision in challenging times.

The Foundation of Supernatural Provision

Garry emphasized that the key to experiencing God's provision is rooting ourselves firmly in His Word. As he shared, "We just need to understand and know that as children of God, if we abide under the shadow of the Almighty, He still has the promise in God's word. God has promised us to take care of us in hard times, lean times, rich times - it doesn't make any difference. God's provision is still the same."

This reminder is crucial. In a world where economic uncertainty looms large, we must anchor ourselves in the unchanging promises of God. As believers, we're called to live by faith, not by sight. This means trusting in God's provision even when circumstances seem dire.

Practical Steps to Walking in Supernatural Provision

1. Know and Declare God's Word

Garry stressed the importance of knowing Scripture and declaring it over our lives. He shared, "We have to understand exactly what God's word says about us when it comes to finances and about money." He referenced Luke 6:38, which promises that when we give, it will be given back to us in good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.

2. Be Sensitive to the Holy Spirit

One of the key takeaways from our conversation was the importance of being sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading. Garry shared how he follows the Spirit's prompts in his daily life, whether in his business or in evangelism. This sensitivity often leads to divine appointments and unexpected blessings.

3. Step Out in Faith

Garry shared a powerful story of how he approached a group of men drinking outside a bar, despite his flesh wanting to avoid the situation. By obeying the Spirit's prompting, he was able to share the gospel and pray for healing, seeing God move powerfully. This willingness to step out in faith, even when it's uncomfortable, often precedes supernatural provision.

4. Practice Generosity

A critical aspect of walking in supernatural provision is cultivating a generous heart. Garry emphasized the importance of tithing and giving, sharing how his own disobedience in this area once brought a curse upon his finances. When he repented and recommitted to tithing, he saw God move miraculously in his life.

5. Live in Holiness and Purity

Garry highlighted the connection between holy living and God's provision. He referenced the promise God gave to the Israelites: "If you put me first and if you worship me, I will bless your bread and your water and I'll take sickness away from the midst of you." While we're under a new covenant, the principle remains - our lifestyle matters to God.

Preparing for Challenging Times

As we discussed the current economic climate, Garry emphasized the importance of hiding God's Word in our hearts. He posed a challenging question: If Bibles were suddenly outlawed, how many scriptures could we recall from memory? This serves as a sobering reminder to internalize God's Word, ensuring we have a firm foundation when trials come.

Personal Reflections

Listening to Garry's experiences and insights reminded me of the importance of walking closely with God daily. It's not about chasing after material blessings, but about seeking first His kingdom and righteousness. When we do this, He promises to add all these things unto us (Matthew 6:33).

I've seen this principle at work in my own life and ministry. There have been times when provision came from the most unexpected sources, often when I was simply focused on being obedient to God's leading. These experiences have strengthened my faith and taught me to trust God even in lean times.

Biblical References and Teachings

Throughout our conversation, Garry referenced several key scriptures that underscore the principles of supernatural provision:

1. Luke 6:38 - The principle of giving and receiving

2. James 2:15-16 - The importance of practical faith

3. Galatians 6:2 - Bearing one another's burdens

4. Proverbs 10:22 - "The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it"

These scriptures remind us that God's economy often operates differently from the world's. As we align ourselves with His principles, we position ourselves to receive His supernatural provision.

As we navigate uncertain economic times, let's remember that our God is Jehovah Jireh - the Lord who provides. He hasn't changed, and His promises remain true. I encourage you to take the principles shared in this post and apply them to your life:

1. Immerse yourself in God's Word, memorizing scriptures about provision

2. Cultivate sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leading

3. Step out in faith, even when it's uncomfortable

4. Practice generosity, even in lean times

5. Pursue holiness and purity in your daily walk

Remember, supernatural provision isn't just about meeting our needs - it's about equipping us to be a blessing to others and to advance God's kingdom.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with supernatural provision. Have you seen God move in miraculous ways in your finances? Share your stories in the comments below, and let's encourage one another in faith.

Until next time, keep digging deeper and going higher in your walk with God!

Garry Nesbit talks about Sin and Sickness

Sin, Sickness, and the Power of Jesus

Hey everyone, Conrad here from ConradRocks.Net, and today I want to dive into something incredibly powerful and, honestly, often misunderstood: the link between sin, sickness, and the supernatural healing power of Jesus. You might be thinking, “Okay, Conrad, here we go…”, but stick with me. This isn’t about guilt or condemnation; it's about unlocking a deeper understanding of how our spiritual lives impact our physical well-being. Recently, I had a fascinating discussion with my friend Garry, and some of what we talked about was so impactful that I needed to share it with you all. This journey goes beyond the surface, exploring the prophetic and the supernatural aspects of our faith.

The Conversation: Sin, Sickness, and Supernatural Healing

We were at our local Huddle House, a pretty down-to-earth spot, but the conversation was anything but ordinary. We started talking about how Garry has been joining me on prayer walks. You might recall that on my podcast we have gone out and prayed for people, and on several occasions people were healed within moments. Specifically, there were healings at the VA Hospital where people were experiencing healing within seconds of prayer.

Garry’s insights into the connection between sin and sickness is something I think we all need to hear, so let's dive in.

Key Point: Connecting the Dots

Garry’s main point is that there’s a real connection between our personal sin and our physical sickness. He brought up how, when Adam and Eve sinned, sickness and sin entered the world. We all know this story from the Bible, but what Garry has shown me is that this isn’t just a distant historical event; it has a direct impact on our lives today.

It's important to understand that when we come to Jesus, we are not meant to live in sin. That's because Jesus died to deliver us from it. However, many believers struggle with chronic pain, which Garry has found is often linked to unresolved sin, especially unforgiveness.

This led me to ponder about the idea of “easy believism,” which is the false teaching that you can just accept Jesus and then continue on in sin as if it's no big deal. This is not what the Bible teaches. This is something that opened my eyes to the idea of what a “greasy Grace” actually looks like. We need to embrace the true spiritual journey and get real with the spiritual side of our lives.

How Unforgiveness Opens the Door to Torment

This conversation wasn’t just theory; Garry shared practical insights into how this works. He explained that unforgiveness is a major issue that often acts as a door for tormentors, or demons. Remember the parable in Matthew 18, about the servant who was forgiven a massive debt but then refused to forgive a small debt owed to him? The master, representing God, turned him over to the “tormentors” because of his unforgiveness.

These “tormentors,” Garry explained, can manifest as chronic pain or mental torment. I can relate, as I’ve seen so many people who are literally trapped in their own minds by their past actions. I think we all have someone we have struggled to forgive.

The key takeaway is that when we hold onto unforgiveness, we open ourselves up to spiritual attack, which can manifest in physical ailments. When Garry prays with people he often first addresses sin, and in my experience this step is a massive part of the equation.

Personal Reflections: Witnessing Supernatural Healing

It's not just about theory with Garry and me; we've seen this principle in action. Garry and I have together prayed for countless individuals and have seen healings occur within a very short time frame, in some cases only seconds. He shared a recent example of a woman who had suffered a stroke, with her left arm and leg paralyzed. She immediately confessed anger and unforgiveness towards her ex-boyfriend. As Garry led her through a prayer of forgiveness and repentance and then laid hands on her in faith with oil, she started to physically move and shout as a demon manifested. She was instantly healed and began running around in the parking lot. This is a powerful example of the supernatural at work! It’s hard not to be moved by this type of real-time healing.

These moments of miraculous healing reinforce the concept that sin and sickness are interconnected, and that addressing the spiritual component often leads to physical healing. The real-time healings are so incredible to witness in person. I am so thankful that God has lead me into this journey of the supernatural.

Biblical References: Anchoring Truth

This isn’t some new-age idea. Our understanding is rooted in biblical truth. Garry referenced John 20:23, where Jesus gives believers the authority to remit or retain sins. He pointed out that Jesus often forgave sins before healing people, emphasizing the priority of dealing with our spiritual state.

The Old Testament is often brought up as a rebuttal to these teachings, but the New Testament is a major resource in this area. It speaks to the need to live a holy life after salvation. Jesus' teachings make it clear that we can't just continue in sin after accepting Him; it's about living in righteousness, not in constant repentance with no actual change in our lives.

Garry also talked about sanctification and repentance. This process of continually turning from sin and turning toward Jesus is an essential part of the Christian Walk. He shared that if we, as ministers, have sin issues in our hearts, our prayers can be hindered. This is a real consideration that all ministers must take into account. It's not about having "the right person pray," it's about being someone who God can work through.

The Importance of Repentance and the Power of Forgiveness

In our discussion, Garry highlighted the importance of not just knowing about Jesus, but actively living a life that honors Him. He shared how even small things, like complaining or gossip, can open doors to the enemy. It’s important to not have a seared conscience to the point where we don't even acknowledge something to be a sin. We need to recognize these things for what they are, and then move forward into righteousness.

He also spoke about how a person who is married should treat their spouse as Christ loved the church. That if we treat our spouse with anger or contempt, we are treating God that way. This was incredibly powerful and something that I will consider when I talk to my wife. He encouraged us to “make things right” before going to bed. This is a powerful act of spiritual cleansing, and also a great way to show our loved ones that we truly care. I have always believed that you should go to bed happy, and it made me realize that there are spiritual implications to this.

Sin and Spiritual Attacks

Garry explained that the “tormentors” are really demons. This is something that I have seen firsthand. It is absolutely no coincidence that mental and physical pain are the primary weapons of the devil. He spoke about the chronic pain and mental anguish these demons bring into our lives.

He connected back to the story in the bible about how unforgiveness can cause us to be turned over to these demons.

The Difference: Believers vs. Unbelievers

We also discussed a key difference in how to approach healing for believers versus unbelievers. For those who haven’t accepted Christ, they’re not held accountable in the same way because they're still prisoners of war in sin. Jesus died for them, and their good works can’t save them. They need to come as they are to receive salvation.

However, for believers, accountability comes in. We need to stop living in sin and live in righteousness. After we are saved, we are accountable for our sin. We are told to "go and sin no more". We are told not to let a worse thing come upon you. I really think this is an important point to consider, as we think about our journey in Christ.

Dealing With "Hidden" Sins

What I learned from this conversation was that many of us have “hidden” sins that we don’t even realize are sins, like complaining. Garry shared a story of how he would grumble about his order being wrong at McDonald's. What he later learned was that this type of behavior opened the door to the enemy. This really opened my eyes to the fact that what I perceive as “small things” are actually massive spiritual problems.

Garry's Testimony: Gossip and Pride

Garry then shared a very vulnerable experience, a car accident that led to an encounter with God. The Lord showed him that the accident was linked to his own sins of gossip and pride. Garry was gloating in his conversation with a waitress about someone that he knew was having a problem. After the accident, God revealed this was something he needed to address.

This story underscores the importance of living a life that pleases God and dealing with sins we may be blind to. He has since gotten his conscience healed and has learned what these areas of sin look like.

Chastening and God's Love

The conversation turned towards the fact that God chastens those he loves. The Lord will bring up these issues in our lives for us to correct. However, we should be careful not to go out looking for punishment. This can lead to spiritual pride.

Garry’s final words to me in the interview were this: There is no distance in prayer. God can reach through all space.

A Call to Deeper Faith

This conversation with Garry was a powerful reminder that our spiritual lives have a direct impact on our physical well-being. It’s not just about being a “good person”; it’s about truly surrendering our lives to Jesus, repenting of our sins, forgiving others, and walking in holiness. Garry’s ministry is a testament to the fact that when we follow the Bible, we see the true power of God moving in our lives.

I invite you to take this message to heart, examine your own life, and see where God might be calling you to deeper faith. What hidden sins may be holding you back? What unforgiveness needs to be released? It's not about beating yourself up, but about becoming more aligned with Christ. The supernatural healing power of Jesus is available to those who seek it in spirit and in truth.

Unlocking Healing: Why Your Unforgiveness is a Roadblock to Your Miracle

Bitterness Made Her Feet SWELL

Imagine walking into a shoe store, not to buy a new pair of boots, but because the very ground you stand on feels like a bed of hot coals. Your feet are swollen, a deep, angry purple-red hue that screams of inflammation. Every step is an exercise in agony. This was the reality for a lady my friend Garry Nesbit encountered recently in a small town in South Arkansas. She was suffering from fibromyalgia, skin diseases, back problems, and feet that were so inflamed she literally asked, "Where do I not hurt?"

Most of us have been there—if not with physical pain, then with a spiritual weight that feels just as heavy. We pray, we plead, and we ask God for a breakthrough, but the heavens seem like brass. We claim the promises of Mark 11:24, believing we receive what we ask for, yet the pain remains. The "pain" might be in your body, your marriage, or your bank account. You’re doing everything you were taught in Bible college or Sunday School, but something is missing.

The solution isn't always "more faith." Sometimes, the solution is removing the legal right the enemy has to torment you. In this post, we’re going to get under the theological hood and look at the "missing link" of healing that many modern pulpits are too afraid to touch. We are going to explore how walking in the love of God and releasing bitterness is the key to unclogging the spiritual drain so the fire of God can flow.

Main Message

Garry Nesbit has an amazing ministry where people actually get healed. I like to interview him because he sees a high percentage of success, and I wanted to know why. It turns out, it isn't a secret formula or a special anointing oil—though he uses oil—it’s about the correlation between forgiveness and the supernatural.

The Shoe Store Transformation

In that South Arkansas shoe store, before Garry could even bring up the topic of the heart, the owner stopped him. She sat down right there among the rows of shoes and made a confession. She admitted to a deep, biting bitterness against her sister and a long-standing spirit of rejection from her mother. She knew, deep down, that her heart wasn't right.

They dealt with that bitterness first. They didn't just "pray for healing"; they repented for wickedness. Garry anointed her with oil, and they petitioned the Throne of Grace. As Garry looked down at her feet after they finished, a miracle happened right before his eyes. The purplish, ugly discoloration began to fade. The redness vanished. Her feet became perfectly normal in appearance and, more importantly, completely pain-free. Her entire countenance changed from one of torment to one of peace.

The Flower Shop Miracle

A similar thing happened in a flower shop. A woman came in complaining of chronic back and hip pain that made walking a chore. She couldn't even raise her right arm above her shoulder; it was frozen. When Garry asked if she had any unforgiveness, she initially said, "I don't have any problems at all."

But Garry knows that we often bury things. He suggested they ask the Holy Spirit to highlight anything hidden. After thirty seconds of silence, tears filled her eyes. She admitted there was someone. Once she released that person and forgave them according to the Word, the atmosphere changed. Garry took authority over that spirit of infirmity, and the woman jumped up, raising both hands—including the "frozen" arm—straight into the air, praising God in a new language.

Personal Reflections

I’ve spent years studying the Word and writing books like OPEN YOUR EYES because I want people to see the reality of the spiritual realm. In my own walk, I’ve had to learn that you can’t bypass the heart to get to the hand of God.

For a long time, many of us in the "faith movement" focused entirely on Mark 11:22-24. We talked about moving mountains and believing we receive. But we often ignored verse 25. Jesus didn't change the subject when He moved to verse 25; He was giving us the operational requirements for faith to work.

I’ve realized that I cannot expect God to ignore my "civilized" sins—like holding a grudge or nursing an offense—while I ask Him for supernatural intervention. If I have a hole in my spiritual firewall, I shouldn't be surprised when the "hacker" (the enemy) gets in to steal my peace, my health, or my finances. As I often say, we need to "dig deeper and go higher." Digging deeper means looking into the dark corners of our own hearts to see what we are harboring.

Biblical References

The Word of God is incredibly clear on this, yet we often skip over the "scary" parts. In Matthew 18, Jesus tells a parable about a servant who was forgiven a massive debt but then refused to forgive a fellow servant a tiny pittance.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. (Matthew 18:35 KJV).

The "so likewise" refers to being delivered to the "tormentors." When we refuse to forgive, we are effectively choosing to stay in the custody of the tormentors. This lady in the shoe store was being tormented in her body and her finances because she had an open door.

We also see the necessity of holiness in our use as vessels for the Lord.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. (2 Timothy 2:21 KJV).

And let’s look at the "missing link" in Mark:

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. (Mark 11:25 KJV).

If you don't do verse 25, verses 22 through 24 simply will not work. You'll be spinning your wheels in the wind. The grace of God isn't a license to harbor hate; it’s the power to live righteously.

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; (Titus 2:11-12 KJV).

Key Takeaways

  • Unforgiveness is a Legal Door: Refusing to forgive gives the enemy a legal right to "torment" you in your mind, body, and finances.

  • Faith Requires a Clear Heart: Mark 11:25 is the prerequisite for the "mountain-moving faith" described in the preceding verses.

  • The Holy Spirit is the Searchlight: If you aren't sure if you have unforgiveness, ask the Holy Spirit to highlight it. He knows what you’ve buried.

  • God’s Forgiveness is Conditional: Scripture explicitly states that if we do not forgive others, our Heavenly Father will not forgive us.

  • Healing is Often Instantaneous After Repentance: When the "legal right" of the enemy is removed through repentance, the spirit of infirmity must leave.

Conclusion and Call to Action

Friend, the power of God is not "stopped up" because God is unwilling. It's often clogged because we are holding onto an offense that is "wickedness" in the eyes of God. Whether it's a family member who hurt you years ago or a business partner who cheated you, the cost of holding onto that grudge is far higher than the satisfaction of the offense.

Don't let the tormentors have another day of your life. If you are struggling with chronic pain or a "frozen" situation in your life, I invite you to stop right now and ask the Holy Spirit to show you your heart.

If this message challenged you or if you’ve seen God move after you released an offense, I want to hear about it. Please leave a comment below or reach out to me at ConradRocks.net. Until we meet again, dig deeper and go higher!

Action Items

  • Conduct a Heart Audit: Spend 5 minutes in silence today asking the Holy Spirit: "Is there anyone I haven't fully forgiven?"

  • Verbally Release Offenses: If a name comes to mind, say it out loud: "I forgive [Name] for [Offense], and I release them in Jesus' name."

  • Study the Word: Read Matthew 18 and Mark 11 in their entirety this week, paying close attention to the connection between forgiveness and God's response.

  • Check Your Firewall: Identify areas where you may be "loving the world" or indulging in "worldly lusts" that might be creating holes in your spiritual protection.

  • Pray for Your Enemies: Actively ask for God's blessing on the person you least want to forgive. This is the ultimate sign of walking in the love of God.
