Coffee with Conrad - Interview with Renegade Redeemed!

Image
Finding God Through Hip-Hop with Renegade Redeemed This week on Coffee With Conrad, I had the opportunity to chat with Renegade Redeemed, a former hip-hop artist turned Christian rapper and founder of Forever Redeemed Ministries. Let me tell you, it was an inspiring conversation. Renegade, as he prefers to be called, wasn't always the man of God he is today. He described his past heavily influenced by the hip-hop culture, filled with drugs, alcohol, and a desire to emulate the rappers he admired.  But in 2009, everything changed. His father, struggling with addiction, attended a church program and emerged a new man. Witnessing this transformation, a young Renegade felt a call to God and surrendered his life to Christ.  This newfound faith completely reshaped his music. Instead of glorifying the sinful lifestyle he once lived, Renegade turned to Christian hip-hop, using his music as a tool to spread the word of God.  Forever Redeemed Ministries, an outreach program he...

The Prophetic Blanket: A Call to Awaken the Church

Image
Urgent Message for the Church! I feel an urgent need to convey a weighty message that the Lord has placed upon my heart. In a recent prophetic vision, I witnessed a blanket covering our area. Woven into this blanket was a web, symbolizing the internet. I believe God's intent is to blanket this region with His presence and Revelation, exposing the workings of darkness and revealing His sovereign plan. The Lord has spoken to me, saying, "I will quell the voice of the enemy." A candle, almost fallen to the ground, represents a disjointed relationship between the church and the flame of God's Spirit. I urge us as Believers to heed the Lord's admonition to speak forth words of encouragement and discernment to those we encounter. Within the vision, I observed a white-haired woman wearing a white gown, possibly representing a Jezebel spirit masquerading as an angel of light. Revelation 2:5 warns us to remember and repent of our fallen state. Furthermore, I saw angelic be...

Happy Reformation Day! Unveiling the Reformation with Martin Luther

Image
Challenging the Church: Why Luther Nailed His Theses and Ignited a Reformation Alright, folks, on a recent episode of "Coffee With Conrad," I decided to tackle a truly fascinating historical figure: Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. It's Reformation Day, after all, and what better way to celebrate than by diving deep into the events that shook the very foundations of the Church centuries ago. Now, for those who might be new to the story, Reformation Day marks October 31st, 1517 – the day Luther famously nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Church. This wasn't just some random act of vandalism; it was a powerful protest against the Catholic Church's practices, particularly the outrageous selling of indulgences (basically, buying forgiveness for sins). Luther, a deeply troubled monk, couldn't stomach the corruption he saw within the Church and felt compelled to act. Luther was a devout Catholic, but his dedication to Scripture led him t...

Holy Fire Burning for Revival in Japan: An Interview with Missionary Stephen Barrett

Image
Keys to Igniting a Move of God in Japan Today I was blessed to have an engaging discussion with my brother Steve, an American missionary laboring in Fukuoka, Japan for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit across that nation. Steve's passionate heart burns with holy fire to see revival blaze across the Japanese islands. As Steve shared, the reality on the ground is that evangelical Christianity only comprises about 1% of the population in Japan currently. The church there lacks the diversity of expressions and movements that we see in America. The Christians that do exist tend to be fairly traditional and denominational in nature.  However, Steve believes this sad state is an incredible opportunity for the Holy Spirit to birth fresh, New Testament expressions of the church contextualized to the various subcultures and people groups across Japan. This is the vision behind his involvement with Dynamic Church Planting International - to equip and deploy Japanese believers to start or...

Unveiling the Spiritual Forces Behind 9/11

Image
America Needs More Than Politics: A Prophetic Take on 9/11 On this 9/11 anniversary , instead of dwelling on the details of the tragedy, I want to delve deeper into the spiritual forces at play. While the event itself was horrific, focusing solely on worldly solutions like politics misses the bigger picture. As Christians, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).  Politicians, while they may have good intentions, often find themselves entangled with these spiritual forces. True change for America won't come through legislation,  but through national repentance and a renewed focus on our relationship with God. Here are key points to consider: * 2 + 2 Doesn't Always Equal 4 : While the 9/11 hijackers weren't primarily from Iraq, the focus was shifted there, highlighting inconsistencies  in the narrative presented. This illogicality, when sensed by the spirit, exposes a deeper spirit...

From Brita to Bible: Finding Peace in Unexpected Places

Image
How is a Brita water bottle like God? I like filtered water.  Let me rephrase that - I like very cold clean water to drink. The cheapest thing I have going is those Brita sports bottles.  They rock! I keep three in the fridge and maybe take one out to keep near me.  When it isn't cold anymore i simply put it back in the fridge.  I drink so much water that i need to have three to guarantee at least one is really cold at any one time.  You know, cuz it takes a while to cool them off. I got home last night, and i couldn't find my blue water bottle.  I was so upset. This was a legitimate crisis (in my mind lol....). I considered buying a new one, but realized that I had simply misplaced the blue one.  So, I somewhat blocked it out of my mind and calmed down.  I got still.  I quieted my mind. Psalms 46:10   Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Then a thought oc...

Falsely Accused: Finding Strength and Vindication in Faith

Image
When False Accusations Sting: My Journey Through Spiritual Warfare Let me tell you, the spiritual warfare has been real this week. Just getting this video message out felt like a fight. It shouldn't be this difficult, right? But as I prayed about it, a sense washed over me: some of you are facing accusations, even from within the church family. It's a confusing situation. These attacks can come in various forms, from online slander to accusations based on twisted interpretations of scripture. It's easy to feel hurt, isolated, and desperate to defend ourselves. But here's what I'm learning: this isn't a random struggle. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 54:17 that "no weapon formed against thee shall prosper..." We might face trials, but God's ultimate vindication is promised. Here are a few key takeaways that have helped me navigate this season: * Discerning Truth Through the Holy Spirit: When someone throws accusations your way, especially ones that ...
