Prophetic Word December 31, 2011

New Year, New Wine: Prophetic Encouragement  Hey everyone, Conrad here. As many of you know, I don't typically share prophetic words around New Year's. But this year, something different stirred in my spirit. I felt compelled to share what the Holy Spirit has been revealing.   For those searching for prophetic words, keywords like "new wine and old wineskins," "taking new territory," and a call to reach the "lukewarm" might have drawn you here.  Let's dive into what this might mean for you in the coming year.  New Wine, New Wineskins First and foremost, the Holy Spirit is emphasizing a shift. We're entering a season of "new wine," a fresh move of God. But here's the catch: to receive this new wine, we need to shed the "old wineskins," the outdated methods and mindsets that have held us back.  Are you ready to trade in those old wineskins for something fresh? This might involve letting go of religious structures that ...

Taking Every Thought Captive

Image
I woke up this morning and while I was still in la-la land I had some bad memories from my past dance in my mind's vision. Once my conscious mind realized this was happening I quickly took the thought captive. Thoughts can be inspired by God and His team, Satan’s team, the world, our flesh, and ourselves. We are to hear the voice of God and obey (Hebrews 12:25). We are to ignore the enemy (John 10:5) and the world, and our fleshly lusts (Romans 8:13). When our thoughts get off track we are to meditate on the good things. The battle takes place in the mind: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) (5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; We are to focus our thought life upon good things. Philippians 4:6-8 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supp...

Fido was an awesome dog!

Image
Treasure what you have now One day my grandfather came home and asked me to get a carton of cigarettes out of the back seat of the car.  He had a grin on his face so I knew he was up to something.  I hurried out in my eight year old body wondering what the real story was. And inside a box, was a little black mutt with a white spot on his chest.   I named him Fido.  I have no idea what kind of dog he was.  Mutt about sums it up, but he was a mutt full of love and energy! Fido was awesome.  Everyday after school he would run across the street from playing with the neighbors dogs to come play with me.  I never got my books in the door.  I had to set them down and play for an hour or so before i finally went in to do some homework.  This routine went on for much of Fido's short life. One day, i made it home and actually made it in the back door.  I was shocked that i actually made it inside the house and was able to put my books on t...

Happy Today, Uncertain Tomorrow? The Fight for Our Children's Future

Image
Let's build a Better Future Today I was walking out of Target and I saw a dad and his little girl walking in.  She had a magical smile on her face.  She was dancing in some over-sized boots that you could tell she had just received. She didn't have a care in the world as she marched into Target with her dad.  I think she was pretending to be some mythical person.  Definitely a happy kid.  The look she had on her face could only come from a child whose parents love her. As i walked to my car, i couldn't help but crack a smile.  The joyful innocence of a child always brings a smile to my face. As i got closer to my car.  I thought about our generation's children.  I thought to myself - "What kind of future am I handing  these kids?" It doesn't take a genius or a prophet to see what's ahead for our children . Love... Doesn't love conquer all?  Do we really love our children?  If we love our children, s...

Testimony: How God Supplied My Needs During Financial Hardship

Image
God Comes Through in difficult Times! Hey there, this is Conrad, and I'm excited to share my personal testimony about how God provided for me during a really difficult financial season. As many of you know, I've been going through tremendous money troubles for about a year now. The economy has been tough, and no matter how hard I worked, it felt like I was just sinking deeper and deeper into debt. It got to the point where I was really starting to get scared - I do online ministry work and stuff at my church, but the bills just kept piling up. I reached a turning point where I knew I had to make a decision. Was I going to keep trying to figure this out on my own, or was I finally going to put my full trust in God? So I made the choice to step out in faith. I started confessing God's promises - that He would supply all my needs according to His riches and glory. I made seeking His kingdom and His righteousness my top priority, instead of just focusing on my financial trouble...

The Presence of God and other stuff... update

Image
Worship was awesome last night at church. I knew it was going to be good.  I have had a few encounters the preceding week with God overwhelming me with His presence.  The kind where i am enraptured with His love and it makes my body vibrate.   I also had a huge sickness attack hit me about four hours before service.  My first thought was to call and cancel, and then i realized, this was just another attack from the enemy.  Ha!  i have been doing this long enough i should know how the devil operates by now.  So i took authority, prayed and confessed the word (1 Samuel 30:6).  I also had some Google+ peeps pray for me! Thanks guys for your prayers!  I love you!  (see i blog about ya! that is love!) Back to the presence of God that i had experienced this preceding week. Often times i am so overwhelmed by His presence that i seem to lose gravity.  Literally, if my eyes where not opened i would not know which way is up. ...

You are AWESOME!!!

Sometimes i think some of my posts through just a little too much!  Well, I way over think them.  And that is a problem. I was writing this one post and it turns out that i may make an eBook or Inner circle Podcast out of it.  The thoughts just kept flowing and flowing, and then i noticed it was turning into several pages. I stepped away in my mind's eye briefly and realized i was trying to coalesce an oceans worth of ideas into a short one page blog post.  That is not going to work. I love to do podcasts mainly.  I dunno why.  Maybe it is because i sound so much better than i  look!  Podcasting seems to flow much easier and i really enjoy doing them.  However it seems people like reading blogs.  So i try and fit in  a few posts of actual writing just so it appears to look somewhat like a 'normal' blog. I am grateful for you, because you like all my media forms.  Thanks for being awesome like that! Have i told you...
