Exploring the Biblical Basis for Being 'Slain in the Spirit

Image
Bible Basis for being 'Slain in the Spirit' I have heard people say that being slain in the spirit is not in the bible.  In this podcast and blog post I am sharing a few instances where this phenomena happens in scripture.   Is Being 'Slain in the Spirit' Biblical?  Introduction The concept of being "slain in the Spirit" is a topic of much discussion among Christians, particularly those who are interested in the prophetic and spiritual aspects of their faith. While the phrase itself does not appear in the Bible, the experience has been popularized by figures such as Maria Woodworth Etter, who was active before the Azusa Street Revival. During her meetings, people reportedly fell under the presence of God. This blog post will explore whether this phenomenon is biblically supported by examining various scriptural accounts of profound spiritual encounters. Biblical Instances of Divine Encounters Ezekiel's Encounter with God In Ezekiel 1:28, Ezekiel describes ...

Observing Solomon - Through the Lens of Scripture

Image
People don't quote Ecclesiastes much.... Have you ever noticed that people don't quote Ecclesiastes or Song of Solomon nearly as much as the rest of the scripture? I have some observations on that. Why Don’t People Quote Ecclesiastes or the Song of Solomon?       Have you ever noticed people rarely quote Ecclesiastes or the  Song of Solomon to make a foundational point? I have been reading and listening to the bible for decades and I have noticed that I rarely have a scripture from either of these two books at the ready to make a point.  I wanted to dig deeper into why this is the case.       It takes a few bible readings before this pattern emerges. I have private messaged a few of my friends, and looked into forums, and have found that what I am tackling is not very easy to find.   It simply isn’t talked about very much if at all.       It takes quite a few bible readings to start noticing this pattern....

Kill the Giant When He is Small - Managing Our Thought Life

Image
Killing the Giant when he is small.  In this podcast I talk about getting a grip on our thought life before they get out of control. Limiting thoughts and and beliefs start out small, but over time, they can grow into giants.  The Kingdom Key is to deal with them before they become unmanageable.   What I mean by 'personal revelation'.  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (Joh 16:13) A lot of people freak out when I say the word “revelation”.  They think I am talking about writing a new bible or something.  That is seriously not the case. I am talking about what the Spirit of Truth reveals to us.  When you read or meditate on a verse and then you have a spiritual epiphany!  So when I am talking about revelation, I am talking about how the spirit of truth guides believers in...
