Wait a minute here. Are these creatures actually advanced aliens from a distant galaxy, or are they ancient demons masquerading as technological wonders? Because let me tell you, those details sound awfully familiar to anyone who has ever wrestled with the dark realm of the supernatural.

With that God-given discernment, we should be able to look into the spirit realm and tell the definitive difference between an extraterrestrial alien and a demonic entity.

If you are coming out of the New Age and you're starting to read the Bible, it may initially look like the scriptures contain references to what modern culture calls alien races. Especially if you are reading the Word through the worldly lens of ancient astronaut theorists like Erich von Däniken or Graham Hancock, it looks like UFOs might be interacting with humanity. However, I believe upon closer examination, when you strip away the carnal reasoning, the Bible reveals that these entities are in fact demons in disguise.
I have been absolutely fascinated with UFOs and aliens since I was a kid. I remember traveling out to Roswell, New Mexico, and I was all on up into that famous crash. I devoured von Däniken's classic book Chariots of the Gods. Turn on the History Channel today, and you'll find Ancient Aliens broadcasting these compelling historical examples all over the world. But let's apply some scientific rigor and scriptural truth to these famous accounts:
The Nazca Lines of Peru
Erich von Däniken wrote extensively about the massive Nazca Lines, claiming these thousand-foot-long geoglyphs were built as runways and markers for extraterrestrial spacecraft to recognize the Earth from a distance. While these large geoglyphs are visually impressive, they can be entirely explained through basic tools and geometric techniques available to ancient peoples. There is absolutely no need to invoke aliens to account for them.
Ezekiel's Vision (Wheels Within Wheels)
People get all caught up in the Book of Ezekiel, chapter 1. He describes a magnificent vision with fantastic beings arriving in a flying vessel accompanied by glowing wheels within wheels, and a humanoid figure gleaming in bronze and fire. UFO enthusiasts interpret this as a primitive depiction of a spaceship and an alien pilot. However, this vivid imagery is classic apocalyptic symbolism common to prophets of that era, highly reminiscent of the prophetic symbolism found in the Book of Revelation. While modern reinterpretations try to twist Vimanas into ancient alien hardware, classical Hindu scholarship recognizes them as mythological, symbolic vehicles representing the spiritual journeys of celestial beings. They are similar to the biblical Chariots of Fire that took up Elijah, but they are absolutely not biological aliens from outer space.
Malta's Temple Carvings
The prehistoric temple sites in Malta contain highly controversial carvings dating between 3600 and 2500 BC. Ancient alien theorists claim they depict advanced technology and space suits. The enemy's stock is in total deception. I have seen a lot of fake stuff in my life, and the Bible warns us that Satan aims to deceive the entire world. Look at how easily humanity falls for elaborate hoaxes. In 1912, the scientific community embraced the "Piltdown Man" bone fragments as the missing evolutionary link, and it took over 40 years to expose it as a complete fraud. People still chase the Loch Ness Monster, despite the fact that Christian Spurling admitted back in 1994 that his famous photograph was just a toy submarine model. In 1991, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley admitted they had personally manufactured hundreds of those "alien" crop circles using simple wooden planks and ropes throughout the 70s and 80s. Even in the Christian world, people get duped—like the book The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven by Alex Malarkey, which the teenager completely recanted in 2015, admitting the whole thing was fabricated.
If the devil can pull off these petty hoaxes, imagine the ultimate magic act he is preparing for the end times. By masquerading as technologically superior extraterrestrials from a distant planet, these forces of darkness are conditioning unsaved people to reject the gospel of Jesus Christ. If the world believes our creators are little green men in spacesuits, they never have to confront the reality of sin, judgment, and the necessity of the Cross.
The late, great Chuck Missler wrote a brilliant book called Alien Encounters. In it, he makes a staggering claim: there are no documented, verified cases of a born-again, Bible-believing Christian being abducted by aliens. Let that sink in! Christians possess divine spiritual protection through the indwelling Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus Christ. When a demon masquerading as an alien encounters a believer armed with the Spiritual Armor of God, it has to flee.

To truly understand this spiritual warfare, we must look through the lens of King James Scripture:
- And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. These fallen entities are no longer constrained to the heavenly realm; they have been cast down to the earthly domain and possess the dark power to manifest themselves as advanced "aliens" to deceive the masses.
- And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV). Before I was saved, I spent a lot of time in the New Age movement, and they are constantly talking about "beings of light" and "ascended masters". If Satan can easily transform himself into a beautiful angel of light to deceive people, why on earth do you think it's difficult for him to shape-shift into a grey alien with large black eyes to sucker an unbeliever?
- Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 KJV). Just like the ancient magicians of Egypt could mimic the miracles of Moses to harden Pharaoh's heart, the enemy uses lying wonders to keep the perishing world blind to the real God.
- Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: (Ephesians 2:2 KJV). Satan is explicitly called the prince of the power of the air. His domain extends directly into our atmosphere and skies. Is it any wonder that these "unidentified aerial phenomena" and spacecraft are constantly spotted manifesting directly in the air?
- And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. (Genesis 6:1-2 KJV). This records the fallen angels crossing boundaries to interbreed with humanity, creating the bizarre Nephilim hybrid race.
- And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. (Daniel 2:43 KJV). The Bible explicitly details these entities attempting genetic manipulation and hybrid experimentation on human seed. What the secular world calls an "alien abduction genetic program" is simply the modern manifestation of this ancient, wicked demonic agenda.
I want to share a fascinating audio clip of someone who can be considered an absolute expert on this matter: Charlie Duke. He was a heroic NASA astronaut on the Apollo 16 mission back in 1972, and he is one of only twelve human beings to ever walk on the surface of the moon.
