Sidewalk Chalk Ministry

Sidewalk chalk Ministry

The Sidewalk chalk does a lot of work all on its own. Last weekend, for example, this one very large strong man on the sidewalk was looking at the scriptures and his head was drooping down. Obviously, something was stirring within him as he was walking past the scriptures. He sat down and I approached him and asked him what was going on.

He was very heavy over his family situation. I ministered to him for about 20 to 30 minutes right there by the sidewalk chalk. It was a matter of listening to God, repenting, and putting feet to faith.

Two ladies came up to us that we had never met before. They said they led two other people to the Lord that were contemplating the sidewalk chalk scriptures.

Other people come up to us and say that when they read the Scriptures it is a word in season for them. Something they needed to hear at that moment.

Often times, people will come up to us to talk about what we are doing. We begin to engage with them about the gospel, the kingdom of heaven, and their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My goal is to activate Kingdom Seekers and get them closer to Jesus then they were before they met me.

The awesome thing about the sidewalk chalk Ministry is that we don't even have to be there for it to change lives.

Sidewalk Chalk Ministry Saturday Night in Biloxi MS

Saturday night was a really awesome night of ministry that I streamed on Periscope Live as it happened!

Joseph starting drawing the Name of Jesus on the sidewalk.  Right off the bat this man came over to give us a hard time. You can watch it all on the video.  He was mocking what we were doing.  About that time Doug begins to pray for this one lady.  He ends up praying for her a few times and she says she feels better which is evident in the video.  They leave, but then they COME BACK! The Lady's daughter was very excited that she was healed and Doug wasn't even praying for her!  She caught the overflow!  She was so excited that she was jumping up and down and shared the testimony live on Periscope (watch the video).  Several people saw that she was healed (including the heckler).

We continued for quite some time sharing Jesus with people.

We are praying for new ideas on how to make this sidewalk chalk ministry more effective.  We are picking the chalk  up at the dollar store for a dollar.   Our first ministry started off with an 88 cent #Jesus sign and then another 88 cent sign with "Free Prayer" on it.  Sidewalk chalk is almost as cheap!

The great thing about the chalk is that it stays there after we leave. We pray about what scriptures to put down so we know that God is going to use that for the right person at the right time.   The sower sows the Word!  We know The Word of God will not return void!  amen?

Jesus Walk from Walmart to Jerry Lee's

My buddy Joseph and I had a bet on who could lose the most weight in a month. The loser was supposed to carry the #Jesus sign from Walmart Ocean Springs to Jerry Lee's Grocery, Inc..
This is a bet we both wanted to lose so we didn't even bother to weigh in.
We lifted up the Name of #Jesus for seven miles on April 15th 2018.

Diving Deep into the Supernatural with Street Fisher Ministries

Welcome back to the blog. You know, I'm always on the lookout for individuals and ministries that are truly living out their faith in a powerful and tangible way. That's why I was so excited to recently connect with Kevin Riordan from Street Fisher Ministries. 

I've been following Kevin's work, particularly his Facebook Live videos, and let me tell you, it's absolutely incredible to witness. He goes out onto the streets, often in Pennsylvania, initiates conversations with people, and with genuine care, asks if they have any pain or need prayer. What happens next is often nothing short of miraculous. I've seen it in real-time – people getting healed, their attention grabbed by the power of God, and then Kevin sharing the simple yet profound message of the Gospel. Lives are being changed right there, on the spot, and they are giving their hearts to Jesus.

It was so impactful that I knew I had to get Kevin on for an interview to share his heart and his experiences with you all. I'm thrilled to bring you this Ministry Spotlight and make you aware of the amazing work God is doing through Street Fisher Ministries. So, without further ado, let's dive into our conversation.

The Power of a Simple "Hey, Can I Pray for You?"

I kicked off our chat by asking Kevin about how he starts these incredible encounters. It's not about a complicated formula or a slick sales pitch. Kevin's approach is refreshingly simple and rooted in genuine care. He shared, "Well, for me, I just walk up to a person and say, 'Hey, I'm out here praying for people, and I’ve seen some folks get healed.' Then I ask, 'Do you have any kind of pain in your body?'

This simple question opens the door for connection. It shows immediate interest in the other person's well-being. Kevin isn't just launching into a sermon; he's meeting people where they are, often starting with their physical needs. He explained that if someone says they are in pain, they are usually open to prayer. Interestingly, he noted that many don't actually expect anything to happen, but then Jesus shows up, touches them, and heals them. This tangible experience then makes them incredibly receptive to hearing the gospel.

Even if someone says they don't have any pain, Kevin still asks if he can pray for them, specifically asking Jesus to come and touch them tangibly. This consistent approach aims to give everyone a real encounter with the Savior, making it much harder for them to reject Him. Amen to that\!

Time, Conversation, and Genuine Care: Keys to Effective Ministry

One thing that struck me watching Kevin is that he takes the time to truly converse with people. It’s not just a quick prayer and moving on. I asked him about this, and he emphasized the importance of building a connection. "I've been doing this for a long time and  I've gone out there with a with my canned presentation okay and people and people don't respond to your canned presentation but people respond very well to your to a conversation."

He wisely pointed out that a genuine conversation puts people at ease and shows them that you actually care. This aligns perfectly with how Jesus himself ministered. Think about Matthew's party – Jesus wasn't just firing off theological points; He was spending time with people, building relationships. Kevin believes we need to follow that example, taking the time to find out where people are, understand their perspectives, and then minister to their specific needs. It’s a much more effective way of doing evangelism, and I wholeheartedly agree.

Experiencing the Supernatural: A Recent Ministry Highlight

I was eager to hear some specific examples of God's power at work through Kevin's ministry. He shared a powerful encounter from just the night before our interview. He felt led to an area with low-income housing projects, admitting he was a bit nervous because people there often made fun of him. However, he saw a group and approached them, asking if anyone needed prayer for physical healing.

Initially, they did mock him, with one woman even snorting her drink from laughter when he mentioned the Lord would heal. But amidst the skepticism, one woman reluctantly admitted to having rods in her back due to scoliosis and was in a lot of pain. As Kevin prayed, she immediately felt the pain leaving. She was then able to bend over and touch the ground, something she hadn't been able to do in years\!

The supernatural didn't stop there. Another young woman, 23 years old, who had suffered two mini-strokes and had limited use of her left arm, experienced complete healing. The pain vanished, and the weakness left her arm. Her severe headache also lifted, and her mind felt clear for the first time since her strokes.

Then, a man who had been watching had his back pain addressed and a leg length discrepancy corrected through prayer. Even more remarkably, numbness in his big toes, which he'd had for an extended period, completely disappeared when Kevin commanded it in Jesus' name.

The shift in the atmosphere was palpable. The skeptics were now completely engaged. Kevin beautifully stated, "Healing is the dinner bell to the to the gospel for the preaching of the Gospel it gets people's attention and it got their attention." As a result of these supernatural encounters, about five people from that group gave their lives to Christ that night. What an amazing testimony to the power of God!

Equipping Others: Discipleship and Ministry Training

Kevin's ministry isn't just about his personal evangelism; he's also deeply committed to equipping others to do the same. He uses his Facebook Live videos as a way for people to see real-time ministry in action, breaking down preconceived notions about evangelism.

Beyond that, he travels to churches conducting evangelism seminars, teaching on how to share faith and exploring different styles of evangelism. He understands that not everyone has the same personality, and there's a way for every temperament to effectively share the gospel. He specifically mentioned the difference between his own sanguine personality and his wife's more introverted, melancholy nature, emphasizing that God has wired everyone perfectly and there's an evangelism style for everyone.

Crucially, Kevin takes people out onto the streets, providing practical, hands-on experience in praying for others and sharing the gospel. This allows them to see that they can indeed step out in faith and be used by God.

Locally, in Butler, Pennsylvania, Kevin and a friend run Ministry Classes focused on teaching about healing, deliverance, the Kingdom of God, and how to use these in evangelism. These classes are ongoing, with the aim of igniting a passion for spiritual adventure in believers.

Kevin passionately declared, "Christianity is an adventure! God saved us for more. Whoever's listening, God saved you for more than just making coffee at church or vacuuming the carpet. He saved you to be part of the game, part of the team—out there healing the sick, winning the lost, and doing amazing things for God." This resonated deeply with me – we are all called to be active participants in God's Kingdom work.

Miracles Overseas and the Call to Believe

Kevin also shared his excitement about an upcoming mission trip to Kenya. He noted that there often seems to be a greater openness to miracles overseas and expressed his anticipation for what God will do there. He pondered if unbelief hinders the miraculous here at home, while acknowledging that when he prays for people, the Lord does heal. His expectation is high for what God will do in Kenya.

A Prophetic Prayer for Stepping Out in Faith

As our interview drew to a close, I asked Kevin if he would pray for those listening – for those who feel a tug in their hearts to step out in ministry but might be hesitant. His prayer was powerful and filled with the Spirit:

"Father, we thank You, Lord, for the high calling You have placed upon us—the call to be Your ambassadors on earth. I pray, Father, that every person would begin to understand the significance of this calling. 

Lord Jesus, I ask that You open people's eyes to see the brokenness around them. Give them vision to see as You see, and, God, I also pray that You give them a heart to feel what You feel for those people. 

Father, I pray that You release compassion to every person who hears my voice—that they would not remain comfortable in complacency. Stir their hearts, Lord, to take a step, to open their mouths, to speak, to pray for someone. And I pray that as they step out in faith, You will meet their needs, igniting a fire within them to do it again and again. 

In the name of Jesus, I pray that You would release an anointing right now. For those listening, if you would lift your hands, I’m going to pray for the Lord to impart a healing gift—an anointing for healing. 

Holy Spirit, I ask right now for an impartation and activation of healing gifts. Lord, let those who lay hands on the sick see them recover. I pray in the name of Jesus that You release an anointing alongside passion—an anointing to do even greater things. 

We thank You, God, for an outpouring of Your Spirit, for an outpouring of Your power. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."

As Kevin prayed, I was reminded of Mark 16:17-18 in the King James Version: "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." This isn't just for a select few; it's for all who believe.

Final Thoughts and a Call to Action

My conversation with Kevin Riordan was truly inspiring. His passion for Jesus and for reaching the lost is contagious. Seeing the supernatural power of God at work in his ministry is a powerful reminder of what is possible when we step out in faith.

Be A Divine Appointment

Hey everyone, Conrad here from ConradRocks.Net! I'm absolutely buzzing today and fired up to share something that's been on my heart – the power of being a proactive Divine appointment. Welcome to another edition of Coffee with Conrad, where we dive deep into the spiritual and the supernatural, all centered on the incredible love of our King, Jesus.

If you’re new here, I’m the author of “Open Your Eyes: My Supernatural Journey,” a book that chronicles my experiences before and after encountering Jesus. It’s available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon, and it’ll give you some insight, especially if you're interested in the prophetic, about what it truly means to be born again and see the Kingdom of Heaven. I definitely recommend checking it out if that's your kind of thing. But really, my passion is for igniting a flame in those who are lukewarm and stoking the fires of revival wherever I go. I’m getting bolder each day, and it's such an awesome experience!

The Message: Being a Proactive Divine Appointment

Today, we’re diving into what it means to be a proactive Divine appointment. Now, you may be thinking, "What does that even mean?" Well, let me break it down for you. We, as followers of Jesus, are not meant to be passive bystanders in this world. We are called to be active participants, intentionally seeking out opportunities to share the love of Jesus, the good news, and offer His healing touch to those around us. We need to be intentional about this.

Ministry on Beale Street & Beyond

You know, lately, Susan and I have been venturing out on Beale Street and also the bus station, two very different environments, to minister to people. On Beale Street, you see a lot of people focused on their own things – spending money, going to bars, rushing to events. It's a different kind of energy, and often times, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of time for prayer. It can feel like a bit of a war zone sometimes, to be honest! This is one of the reasons I follow the Spirit of God. We often carry signs: one is the “#Jesus” sign, which the Lord blessed me with the vision for a couple of years ago; the other simply reads "Free Prayer". We also make a point to wear our #Jesus shirts so people can spot us from a distance. This is how we proactively offer hope and the power of prayer.

The reason for the signs is we want the seeds planted in their hearts before we even engage in conversation with people and their hearts to know that our intentions aren’t for money but for them to be touched by the supernatural love and power of God.

Now, I know some may call this bold, but that's the point of the work of the Holy Spirit! I’m passionate about seeing those who identify as “Christians” but aren't living in their calling to rise up. As the Bible says in Acts 9, the Spirit tugs on us. It's like when Jesus told Paul, "It's hard for you to kick against the goads.” I believe that Paul was feeling these supernatural, spiritual promptings that he was resisting.

Interceding in Prayer

We have also found the power in interceding in prayer before we go to a place. We learned this in Pascagoula, Mississippi where we just prayed and walked and followed the spirit of God. It was incredible! It’s just as the Bible talks about where we are to bring the Light into the darkness. We prayed for softened hearts, and the Holy Spirit lit up person after person for us to talk to. This is where I learned what is like to be bold. This is where I learned what it means to be a proactive Divine appointment. This emboldened my heart.

Personal Reflections: The Danger of Inoculated Faith

Here’s something else that’s been on my mind: Christians can sometimes be “inoculated” with just enough “dead truth” that it renders them inactive in the Kingdom. You know how a flu shot gives you a dead version of the flu virus so you don’t get sick? Well, some people can be inoculated with a lifeless version of faith, and they miss out when the real passion of Christ shows up. When we encounter the power and presence of Jesus, we are infected with His love. Our cup should be overflowing with love, which spills out into the lives of others.

It's like multi-level marketing discipleship—our lives are ignited by the love of Jesus, and it is meant to overflow into our communities, neighborhoods, and the world. Keeping that love to ourselves? It's a sin. Love is proactive. It’s meant to be shared.

Biblical Truths and the Power of Prayer

Some people ask if they should pray for others when they’re still struggling with their own sins. Look, I honor that struggle. None of us are without sin. I always talk about sanctification and repentance and how the cleaner our vessel is, the better we are for the Master’s use. But listen, if you believe that Jesus is Lord, and you know He can heal someone next to you, but you don’t pray for them because you haven't overcome that sin? That's wrong! God is continuously working on us until the day of Jesus. Don't let the enemy hold you back. That’s the accuser of the Brethren telling you that your sin is holding you back. Follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

I’m reminded of the Corinthians – they were walking in the gifts of the Spirit, but they had sin in their church. It goes to show you that, you can still be used of God. Remember that Grace is like a parent teaching a child to walk. There is always help until the child learns to walk.

Being a proactive Divine appointment isn't just about praying for the sick. People are hurting, struggling with emotional baggage, unforgiveness, or pride. We have the Kingdom keys – the tools that Jesus gives us – to unlock those problems and set them on their course. This is the power that Jesus gives to His followers, not for our benefit but for the people we minister to.

A Real-Life Example: Scott’s Story

Let me tell you about Scott, whom we met at the bus station. He wasn’t just a random person. We gave a woman a Bible and prayed for her, and then started talking to Scott. As we talked, we realized that this was a Divine appointment. We talked about his life and his walk with Jesus. Scott was in a tough place, at a pivotal moment in his life. He shared how he heard a voice – the voice of truth, the voice of Jesus – telling him not to sign a document. Scott knew that this voice was God, that it was a supernatural sign. He knew that God delivered him from a bad situation.

Though he’d heard Jesus speak to him, we could tell he wasn’t walking at the level God desired for him. But then something amazing happened. As we talked, Scott’s face lit up. It was like God was reminding him of the promises He made during his low points, and his call was being revived! The Spirit of God was working through our conversation, reigniting the passion that was fading in Scott’s heart. We ended up praying, hands held together, right there at the bus station. I could feel the power of the Holy Spirit moving in him. Each time God gave me a message, Scott would squeeze my hand in excitement. It was powerful! After the prayer, his whole countenance changed – he went from his acceptable call to his upward call!

If we hadn’t been proactive, if we hadn’t followed the promptings of the Spirit, Scott might have stayed the same. It’s a sin to keep the love of God inside. At the bus station, we minister to so many people; so many times, I barely get any footage because ministry is taking place.

A Call to Action: You Can Be a Divine Appointment

So, as you go about your day, be aware of the Holy Spirit’s promptings. You might be someone’s Divine appointment today. Someone may need to know that Jesus loves them; you could be that messenger. Someone may need a course correction, like Scott. Ask God to show you the people you can minister to.

Remember, Jesus said, "They will know that you are my disciples by your love for one another." So, go ahead and friend them on Facebook! It’s not just about a “hit-and-run prayer.” Making disciples means maintaining connections and continual communication.

Conclusion

Being a proactive Divine appointment is about being intentional. It’s about listening to the Spirit, following his lead, and allowing the love of Jesus to flow through us and into the lives of others. We can’t keep it to ourselves!

#TeamJesus Prayer Outreach

Praying for people in Memphis is an awesome experience.  The harvest truly is plenteous and the laborers are few.
#TeamJesus had six people at the bus station last night praying for people and sharing the love of Jesus.
Many people were hungry for prayer and the Lord moved mightily in those prayers.  It is exciting to witness people's passion for the Lord be rekindled.
People's faces light up when it suddenly hits them that Jesus is real, He loves them, and He has a destiny and purpose for their life.
Our neighborhoods and our cities are our mission fields. If we want to see America produce good fruit again, then we need to GO work in the field.
