  Are We Testing Labels or Following Jesus? When two Christians meet, watch how fast the interview starts. What denomination are you? Which teacher do you listen to? Where do you land on that one secondary issue? Within a few minutes we have decided whether the other person is safe, suspicious, or a project to fix. Discernment matters. Doctrine matters. But suspicion is not the same thing as discernment, and holding the right position is not the same thing as walking with Jesus. A man can be theologically precise and spiritually barren at the same time.
