How is a Brita water bottle like God? I like filtered water.  Let me rephrase that - I like very cold clean water to drink. The cheapest thing I have going is those Brita sports bottles.  They rock! I keep three in the fridge and maybe take one out to keep near me.  When it isn't cold anymore i simply put it back in the fridge.  I drink so much water that i need to have three to guarantee at least one is really cold at any one time.  You know, cuz it takes a while to cool them off. I got home last night, and i couldn't find my blue water bottle.  I was so upset. This was a legitimate crisis (in my mind lol....).   Relationship With Christ Requires Communication Relationship with Christ has a lot to do with communication. That sounds simple, but it is worth slowing down and really thinking about. A relationship cannot grow without communication. We know this in everyday life. If a husband and wife never talk, the relationship suffers. If close friends only communicate in emergencies, the friendship becomes shallow. If a child only comes to a parent when there is a crisis, there may still be love, but there is not much intimacy. The same principle applies to our walk with Jesus. Many believers want guidance from God, but they have not cultivated communication with Him. They want direction, but they have not learned to draw near. They want clarity, but the relationship is still mostly built on occasional requests, quick prayers, and emergency moments. Finally Overcome Fear! This morning, something hit me during my prayer time – all this fear! Emails overflowing with it. Fear is crippling, and let me tell you, I've battled panic attacks myself. But here's the thing: fear is a war we can win. This is for all you warriors out there. Fear is the enemy's weapon, but we have the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11). It's time to suit up! Romans 6:16 lays it out straight: we serve who we obey. Are we gonna let fear call the shots, or are we gonna answer to God? This fear we wrestle with? When God Highlights Prayer On a prayer walk, the Lord strongly impressed something on me about corporate prayer. It was not just a passing thought. It felt like one of those moments where the Holy Spirit takes a truth we already know and breathes on it again so we will actually pay attention. We talk a lot about personal prayer, and we should. Jesus told us to go into the secret place and pray to the Father. There is something powerful about getting alone with God, shutting out the noise, and meeting Him where nobody else is watching. But Scripture also shows us another kind of prayer that we must not neglect. There is power when believers pray together. Not just when we gather in the same room, and not just when we repeat religious phrases, but when we come into agreement with the will, nature, character, and authority of Jesus. From Buddhism to Jesus I have an amazing friend named Jonnathan Jonnathan has one of the most powerful testimonies of coming to faith in Jesus that I've ever heard. Jonnathan grew up as a Buddhist, even being selected by the Dalai Lama as a potential Buddhist monk when he was just 7 years old. However, his life took a radical turn toward Jesus in the most supernatural way. When Jonnathan was 23 years old, his world was crumbling around him.
