I had a voracious appetited on how to excel in life. I studied things like neurolinguistic programming, self-hypnosis, and all manner of self-help books which would number into the hundreds (this was before the internet!). I was fascinated with the mind and how people can use mind hacks to get ahead. I bet I was the only 8th grader with a subscription to Psychology Today! lol, I was doing self-hypnosis, NLP, and Guided imagery in my teens.  Just so you know where I am coming from. When I encountered the Author and Finisher of our faith in 1995, I realized that wisdom from man was foolishness in comparison to what God has. God has Kingdom Keys for TRUE Deliverance! He has a treasure in the field worth selling all we possess to get it!   Are You Seeking Truth, or Protecting Your Favorite Lie? Let’s get real. A lot of people do not study the Bible to be changed; they study it to win. They already made up their mind, and then they go looking for verses, teachers, podcasts, articles, and comment sections that back up what they already wanted to believe. That is confirmation bias, and it is deadly when we drag it into our walk with Jesus. This is not just an intellectual problem. This is a spiritual problem. When we love being right more than we love truth, we stop being disciples and start becoming defense attorneys for our own deception. We are no longer letting the Word of God cut us; we are using the Word like a shield to protect the very thing God may be trying to kill. That should shake us a little.   Stop Giving the Lie a Ride A lie can circle the world while the truth is still looking for its shoes. And too often, it's Christians giving that lie the ride. You've seen it. The screaming headline. The "prophetic warning" nobody can source. The screenshot of a screenshot. The video that proves the end is next Tuesday. Somebody shares it, ten thousand amens later it's everywhere, and three days later it quietly falls apart. Nobody posts the correction. Nobody apologizes. We just wait for the next one. Here's the hard part: we don't fall for this because we don't care about truth. We fall for it because we do. We believe God still speaks. We believe there's a real devil and a real end to this age.
