Twitter's War on Christianity

Image
There is a war raging on twitter against Christians.   It is becoming more venomous each year.  We are exploring what is causing this and what the solution is.   Show Notes: It is important to have a biblical worldview (Colossians 3:2-10) ; Jesus commanded us to have a personal relationship with him (John 10:27) ; True Christianity is about loving others and being humble (Matthew 5:3-4, Philippians 2:3) ; We are accountable and must stand in awe of God’s truths (Psalms 33:8) ; Christian nationalism blurs the line between faith and politics (Romans 13:1-7) ; Political ideology should not replace true Biblical teachings (2 Corinthians 10:3-5) ; We should promote justice and compassion (Matthew 25:31-40) ; God desires unity in our faith, not division (John 17:20-23) ; We should reject hate speech and false narratives (Ephesians 4:25-27) ; We should represent Jesus accurately and share our own testimonies (Matthew 28:16-20) ; The world should know that Christianity ...

The Benefits of Outdoor Ministry

Image
Outdoor ministry is a great way  to connect with God and others, and make a difference in your community. It can be as simple as going for a walk around your neighborhood and praying, or as involved as leading a community cleanup project. No matter how you choose to do it, outdoor ministry can be a rewarding experience.  Here are a few reasons why you should consider getting involved: It's a great way to connect with God. When you're out in your community, it's easy to see God's work in the world. The people you meet, the places you go, and the things you see can all point you to God's love and grace (Isaiah 40:28-31). It's a great way to connect with others. Outdoor ministry can be a great way to meet new people and build relationships. When you're out in your community, you're all on the same level and there's no pressure to be anything other than yourself (Galatians 6:2). It's a great way to make a difference in the world. Outdoor ministry can...

Discover Your Purpose Through Dreams and Revelations

God Is Not Silent, But He Expects Us to Grow Up Most people are not afraid that God has stopped speaking. They are afraid that He is speaking and they are missing it. I grew up in a church that told me God quit talking when the last apostle died. Then I spent years in the New Age chasing voices that were happy to talk to me but had no interest in making me holy. Between those two ditches I learned something I still lean on: God is not silent, but He is not a vending machine either. He speaks — and He expects us to grow up enough to handle it. God can speak in many ways. He speaks through Scripture, through the still small voice of the Holy Spirit, through wise counsel, through circumstances, and sometimes through dreams or impressions that will not let go of you three days later. That does not mean every dream is a memo from heaven. Some dreams are pizza. Some dreams are stress. Some dreams are your own heart preaching to you at two in the morning. But the Bible never treats a...

Live a Life Worth Dying For: Find Your Calling in Jesus

Image
What Are You Living For? Have you found something worth dying for? It is a piercing question. Many people live exhausted and distracted because they have never surrendered their lives to a purpose bigger than comfort, money, entertainment, or approval. Jesus offers more than a safer version of the old life. He calls us to follow Him. A life worth dying for is not built around our own importance. It is built around the kingdom of God. Jesus said that whoever loses his life for His sake will find it (Matthew 16:25). The more we surrender to Him, the more truly alive we become. Your Calling Begins With Seeking God Calling is not first about a job title or a platform. It begins in relationship with Jesus. As we pray, worship, study Scripture, and obey what He has already shown us, He shapes our desires and leads our steps. Ask God what burden He has placed in your heart. It may be the lost, hurting families, discipleship, prayer, healing, mercy, or teaching the Word. Pay attenti...

Overcoming Spiritual Apathy

Intimate Relationship with God  When we draw close to God, it is like connecting to a powerful spiritual Wi-Fi. The closer we are to the Source, the stronger our connection or signal becomes. I have experienced this firsthand; when I maintain an intimate relationship with God, my prophetic gifts and understanding of His will are increasingly clear. But when I become complacent or apathetic in my faith, I start to notice that my connection slowly weakens. I slowly find that I am not walking at the same level that I used to be when I was closer spiritually to God. Therefore, it is important to live with a purposeful intention to draw close to God.  It is not enough to seek God's hand; we must seek His face with all our heart, soul and mind. When we diligently seek the Lord and desire true intimacy with Him, He will reward us with His presence and abundant blessings. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things wi...
